LSU just blew a big recruitment shot in their last clash against Alabama. Their highest-rated commit, 5-star QB Bryce Underwood and his entire family was in attendance when Brian Kelly and the Tigers were being bashed up by Kalen DeBoer’s Crimson Tide. What would cross your mind watching your potential future team suffer a 42-13 defeat?
Shea Dixon appeared alongside Josh Newberg in a new YouTube episode on On3 Recruits on November 11. The lead publisher of Thebengaltiger.com gave his take on the LSU-Alabama game and how the result impacted the Tigers’ prospective recruits, including Bryce Underwood. Michigan gives LSU the danger of losing the No. 1 overall player in the nation with their lucrative $10M NIL deal. But as far as the teams’ performances are concerned, Dixon stated, “LSU right now is top 10 in the country in passing offense. Michigan is third from the bottom, 130 out of 133, so fourth from the bottom.” But as per his argument, Underwood would see the loss as a motivation to transform the program rather than feel disheartened.

Besides, LSU’s third loss of the season doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the end for the Tigers. With LSU suffering two consecutive SEC losses, “three of the teams who are ranked in the top five all have two SEC losses,” as Dixon reported. But still, despite holding his commitment since January, Brian Kelly and co. still have to keep up with Michigan to win him before signing day in December.

Among FBS teams, Michigan is one program that needs to revamp its QB room. They’ve suffered QB issues throughout the season, seeing three different starters. And now, the stakes have doubled, as Moore’s team’s NIL offer is getting closer to $10 million. But the Wolverines aren’t just tempting Bryce Underwood from a financial standpoint.
