Deion Sanders, Colorado Buffs, is the talk of the town with their high margin win of 21-48 against the UCF Knights. The team is getting constant appreciation for their spectacular gameplay. But then there are still some questions rising on Coach Prime and Buffs about being conceited about their victory. Let’s see what the fuss is all about.
Today, on an episode of On3 host CBF expert J.D. PicKell talks about Buffs last year’s performance against TCU and Coach Prime’s reaction towards it, saying, “They are double-digit point underdogs; everyone, myself included, picked them to lose that football game. They win. Deion Sanders takes the podium and says, “Do you believe now?” And it’s, you know, that very quickly became a deal where it felt like people maybe felt, and this is not on Deion Sanders necessarily; this is a thing where it became a rallying cry of sorts. “Do you believe? You either don’t believe or you do believe.” Well, the Colorado Buffs entered their game against TCU as three-touchdown underdogs, and winning that game with a 42-45 margin is something that no one expected from the Buffs last season. Also, when the Buffs finished their last season with a final score of 4-8, no one believed they could come out that good in the ongoing season.

This season Colorado Buffs game against UCF was something the team will never forget. However, host J.D. PicKell’s remark on the Colorado Buffs’ recent win tells a different story. As he shows doubts regarding team’s future in the season. Host Pickell shatters Deion Sanders’ overconfidence in his team, giving a bitter reality check. He said, “Well, it’s been one game. Can we see a little bit more? I believe that y’all are better than TCU. I believe this is, you know, a talented football team—more talented than we thought, potentially going into the season. Like, we believe maybe in where this could be headed, but I don’t know if I’m all the way on the train.”

Well, even though J.D. appreciated their efforts and gameplay, he still thinks there is more to look at in the long run. The Colorado Buffs have always been considered the underdogs of college football. Even after showcasing such remarkable gameplay this season, they are still getting questioned on their overconfidence. Deion Sanders believes the same; in a recent interview, he said, “We’re underdogs every week; nobody wants to see us win except for our fan base. That’s just the nature of the game. We’re not mad about it. We know who we are.” If improving their gameplay and defeating the undefeated UCF Knights doesn’t bring them confidence, then what will?

Deion Sanders Colorado Buffs remarkable win
The Colorado Buffs entered their game against the UCF Knights as 14-point underdogs. This win was much needed for the team. Every player was in their best form throughout the game. But the highlight of the showdown was Buffs star player Travis Hunter, who showcased his remarkable two-way game ability by receiving 89 yards with a touchdown on nine catches in offense and an extraordinary interception hitting the Heisman pose.
Talking about their overall performance against the Knights, the Buffs registered a total of 418 yards on offense, of which 290 were passing yards and 128 were rushing yards. If that’s not something to be proud of, then what is? Also, the team has faced constant criticism from the critics, but Deion Sanders has always said, “We will prove everyone wrong,” and that’s exactly what they did in their last game against the Knights. Let’s see if the team can continue their winning streak or they will fall into the demotivated trap.
