The Buffs are always under a microscope, with everyone, especially Deion Sanders and his sons, facing intense scrutiny. But amidst the hate and criticism, one thing often gets overlooked—the program’s vocal stance against social evils. This time it was not Deion, his sons, or even any other Buffs player. But his dear pal and fellow Buffs graduate assistant, Warren Sapp. The NFL legend got too upset about an incident in Ohio involving the cops and a 5-year-old little boy.

Right now the internet is infuriated about how the police tormented a toddler on the streets. As per the reports, the 5-year-old boy’s father, Brandon Wilson, had been pulled over by Parma Police officers as he drove to his mother’s house on December 26. At first, it seemed to be a routine traffic stop that later turned into anything but routine.

His brother recorded the video where Wilson can be seen with his hands in the air. And the cops crossed the line when they asked the toddler to put his arms in the air, too. Reportedly, one officer even asked the 5-year-old, “Dad didn’t give you nothing, right?” This has left enough trauma to the child and to his family, who is now demanding justice. This news did not move past Sapp.

On January 10, he re-shared a post from Black2theblock. It was apparent that he was angry and wanted to take some immediate action. But sadly, he does not have the power. So Sapp made use of what he had in front of him—the biggest weapon, social media. He threw a question, wondering how low society would stoop now. “I asked what’s Next!? #Really.”

Looks like Sapp not only carries knowledge about NFL and college football. That man knows the Constitution well. As he wrote, “I guess little man wasn’t born with his 4th amendment attached!!” The Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution protects citizens from unreasonable searches and seizures. Now you must be thinking about how Sapp extends his helping hand in off-court matters as well. Well, we can guess where that characteristic comes from.

Warren Sapp following the Coach Prime blueprint

Sapp never had thought that he would get into coaching. But just one visit with long-time friend Deion changed his mindset. Coach Prime invited him to check out the Buffaloes’ football facilities and give a pep talk or two. Back then, Sapp had got an achy hip that acted up while roaming around Boulder’s hilly campus. So he settled into a hot tub at the Champions Center when he had an epiphany.

The graduate assistant recalled, “For someone that never wanted to do this, I am really addicted to it right now. The babies are really giving me a purpose in life, and I’m enjoying it.”

Somewhere, deep down, he was thankful to the Buffs HC for the big break and for trusting in him. As in the Coach Prime docuseries, Sapp mentioned, “For [Deion] to reach for me when nobody else was even looking… He told me, ‘I got a spot for you, brother, I need you.’” Looks like while staying with Deion in Boulder, a part of him also yearns to stand up for people in need.

And Coach Prime’s blueprint for success goes beyond wins and losses. He’s spearheading a new era that will inspire generations to come. Well, he’s already walking the walk. Before becoming the Buffs HC, Deion Sanders was a father of five, proving he understands the importance of family and community. He also took the initiative to help the young Buffs players, who are also great fathers. He believes, “A child is not a mistake. A child is an opportunity to mature you, grow you, advance you, and give you skills.”

On August 22, he tweeted, “I’m looking for a Bank in Boulder or Denver that’s wants to have a business relationship with a few members of our team. It’s gonna bless whichever Bank that partners with us. Let’s Go. #CoachPrime @CUBuffsFootball @SMAC.” This allows the players’ children with a total of $2,121 in savings to benefit from this initiative. Here’s how the Buffs coaches Deion Sanders and Warren Sapp always take a moment to make the surroundings a better place.
