Can Ryan Day's Buckeyes learn from Indiana's defense, or face another humiliating defeat?

Remember a fan, Scarlett N Cream saying, “If Indiana beats Nebraska, I’ll shove an ear of corn up my a-.” For you all who recall this, how hilarious it was! Well, jokes apart, it has become the reality now. Curt Cignette and the Hoosiers took down the Huskers with a 56-7 score. That was beyond impressive. But what is catching the attention of everyone is Indiana’s over-the-top defense leading to their 7-0 unbeatable record this season. Now college football analysts are suggesting Ryan Day take some note from Curt Cignetti and Indiana’s defense on how to beat Nebraska this weekend.

On ‘The Locked on Buckeyes’ latest episode, analyst Jay Stephens revealed how Indiana is currently one of the top teams in college football and he suggested the state Buckeyes defense learn something from them, especially when they’ll be facing Nebraska this weekend. “If the Buckeyes don’t get results, there’s a problem. There’s a massive problem, because this defense is way too talented, even though they got embarrassed on Saturday in Bloomington, Indiana,” he said, highlighting Nebraska’s defense even though they lost to Indiana last week.

He said, “If you’re going to roll into the shoe on Saturday and now show the improvement. Nebraska, man, little is believed they come on here on the podcast on Saturday afternoon or on Monday show and talk about man, the Buckeyes defense.” Yeah, Stephens indirectly told Ryan Day and Ohio to pull their s*** together if they don’t want to face an embarrassing loss like they had faced against Oregon.

In short, Stephens pointed out one thing to Ryan Day, which is to maintain a strong defense against Georgia like Indiana did on Saturday. With that, let’s learn more details of this upcoming game between Ohio State and Nebraska.

Ryan Day’s on the upcoming game against Nebraska

Ryan Day made it clear that Ohio State isn’t hitting the panic button ahead of the Nebraska showdown. “Do I need to overhaul everything? No. But there are some things—the way we’re coaching, the way we’re scheming—that we need to adjust. There’s no question,” Day emphasized. His message? The Buckeyes are far from giving up, with plenty of football still ahead.

However, the absence of offensive lineman Josh Simmons, out for the season after a knee injury against Oregon, adds another layer of intrigue to the game. Nebraska, coming off an embarrassing 7-56 defeat to No. 13 Indiana, is desperate for redemption, while Ohio State, with just one loss to Oregon, is hungry to stay in the playoff hunt.
