Jimmy Horn Jr. is one of the most inspiring players in the Colorado locker room. The WR has been a vital part of the team since his transfer in 2023, starting and playing in every game since last season. It is the star receiver’s 22nd birthday today, and he’s celebrating it with his Boulder family in the warm embrace of Coach Prime. Horn has been rather unfortunate not to be able to spend his birthday with his father, Jimmy Horn Sr., who has been incarcerated on multiple charges and has been serving his time since 14th August. A few days after his father’s arrest, Horn recorded an outstanding TD with a career-high 198 yards on 7 catches against the Bisons. Saddeningly, he couldn’t share his moment with his father but will continue to make him proud as he witnesses his son from behind bars.
On 13th September, Bucky released the latest video on his ‘Well Off Media’ channel and showed the whole team singing an endearing happy birthday song to Jimmy Horn Jr., as he stood right beside Deion Sanders. Though the outside world circumstances might not favor the young WR at the moment, Deion’s sweet gesture ensured he knew that he had a family who loved him a lot back in Boulder.

After the entire roster was done singing the song to Jimmy, Deion asked him what he wanted as his birthday gift and Horn’s answer was as simple as it could be. He replied by saying, “I don’t want nothing, man; I got what I want. Life, I got life.” At this point, it looks like only the team’s glory drives Horn to perform brilliantly on the gridiron every game, in the hopes of puffing his father’s chest up with more and more pride. As of now, he can take a day off to rest and take a breath to enjoy his special day as his Colorado teammates surround him with wishes.

This is most probably the toughest phase of Horn’s career, with his father being arrested right before the start of the season. As such, he needs all the love and support from the team, which is exactly what the Buffs are doing for their beloved teammate. But Travis Hunter’s birthday wish for Horn took it a notch higher when he wrote, “Happy birthday family.”
Shedeur Sanders took to Instagram and shared an iconic photo of him and Horn standing side by side in different variations of the Buffs’ jersey. He captioned the story with, “Happy birthday @j5fleezy” The environment in the Colorado locker room has always boasted of a bright camaraderie, and yet, they haven’t been able to make it evident on the gridiron as of yet. Hopefully, with their next game against the University of Baylor, the Colorado Buffaloes can show their full potential as Horn continues to give a consistently brilliant performance.
