Did Kalen DeBoer's passion just reignite Alabama's fire? What do you think of their comeback?

Alabama football team has currently been walking over the moon coming off a very special 41-34 win against the No 2 Georgia this Saturday. The game was the hardest challenge for the Tide to overcome and carry their momentum in the season forward. They did it with grace under Kalen Deboer’s accurate stewardship. The game underwent a lot of dramatic turns and twists in the second half, when a slow build in the offense changed the huge 30-7 lead into just an 34-33 deficit, every Bama fan might have felt themselves tied up in the knots.

But thanks to DeBoer and his boys’ composure and resilience, that helped them to gain back the pace and ultimately finished with a remarkable score. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief! Wait, not everyone. Probably, NFL analyst Ryan Clark was busy thinking about how to cover up his past rave reviews about Alabama’s potential future.

At the start of the 2024 season, when Nick Saban wrapped up his historical stint and left the place for Kalen DeBoer to take over, the seasoned Bama hater Ryan Clark cast a nasty doubt on the Tide’s future. Believing in the inevitable downturn of the team, Clark tweeted, ”They have tons of kids in the portal and a number of decommitments already. Kalen DeBoer is a really good coach with an impressive resume, but he ain’t Bear. Sure, ain’t Nick!! They made Tuscaloosa a place to win championships. Most of the others have faltered. Oh & #GeauxTigers.”

But this is not the first time he took a shot at the Tide collective. Alongside the tweet, there was a tag that takes you back to his previous trash talk about Alabama. In a three-minute monologue during the ESPN flagship show, First Take, Clark predicted how Alabama fans shouldn’t hope for more than seven to eight-win seasons without Nick Saban. However, last week’s win hit as a reality check for the former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive player, who was morally forced to withdraw his stance. When an X fan page called him out for the unnecessary prognostication, he took back his words with a ‘so fired up’ excuse.

However, it is safe to say that the NFL legend Ryan Clark is a controversy magnet. In recent history, he rose to the headlines for his trashy body-shaming comments over former Alabama WB Tua Tagovailoa.

Clark invited controversy with former Alabama QB

Clark found him in deep water after insinuating Tagovailoa’s physical appearance. The sharp-mouthed former player let it out in a pretty offensive way. He judged the current Dolphins QB for his arm’s tattoo and advised him to spend more hours in the gym than in the tattoo parlour. The reality is that Tagovailoa has suffered a slew of concussions in 2022 and is in the process of learning how to avoid the same in the future. So, he had to build some extra muscle to make himself more durable from the hazards on the field.

In a mature yet fiery response, the QB noted it was never his choice to bulk up. Rather, it was his compulsion to some extent and asked the veteran politely to keep his name out of his mouth in the future.

After garnering a worldwide heat, Clark went into his signature apologetic mood and issued a lengthy explanation of what his actual intention was. He claimed it was merely a “bad joke,” without any hidden agenda to disrespect Tagovailoa’s work ethic or anything else and settled the dust with an ‘I’ll be better promise.’

Now, it remains to be seen how his recent justification for hurting the Alabama sentiment in the past sits with the insiders and the fans.
