If the wife said it, you gotta follow it. Nick Saban has always enjoyed Deion Sanders and what he has done for the Buffs. Most importantly, Nick’s wife, Terry Saban, prefers Deion more. When Nick Saban had to pick between UCF and the Buffs during the regular season, the former HC stuck with the Knights. But Terry? Oh, she had all her dimes put on Coach Prime. And well, the wife was right. 48-21 against a run-heavy team like UCF? Deion’s defense easily managed to bottle up RJ Harvey and KJ Jefferson, and while UCF did manage 177 yards, their endzone performance was terrible against Coach Prime and Co. Only 3 touchdowns. While Shedeur Sanders had the time of his life landing those deep shots to Travis Hunter and Will Sheppard.
Coming back to the present, though, it looks like Nick has learned his lesson. When picking between Buffs and BYU for the Alamo Bowl, Nick followed Terry’s command and picked Deion Sanders. And well, Coach Prime was in love. “And this is 1 of the many reasons I Love ya Coach! And Mrs. Terry,” Deion Sanders wrote in the caption of his Instagram post while sharing what Nick had to say about his pick.

Looks like Terry pretty much forced her husband to root for the Buffs. “I am not allowed to pick against Deion. Ms. Terry’s orders” was what Nick had mentioned back on College GameDay. But hey, if we have learned anything, it’s that the wife’s intuition is never wrong.
Going into this game, Deion Sanders is coming, guns blazing. Generally, where most senior players skip out on the Bowl because of the upcoming draft and injury worries, Coach Prime is getting Shedeur and Travis on the roster.
This simply means that this entire 387 yards per game average, which is also ranked 57th in the country, is going to come in full display against the Cougars. But then again, should we give Coach Prime all the leeway? Yes, Hunter got the Heisman and all, but that doesn’t mean BYU is coming in empty-handed.

Remember the preseason media poll? Yeah, the Cougars were picked to finish on the 13th rank by the end of the regular season. What happened next? They got to the No.6 rank on the CFP list after their 9-win run early into the season.
The main problem that is going to arise from this showdown is how good BYU’s defense has been. They have been marked as the best defensive line in BIG 12, and going up against the 3rd best-scoring offense is like a match made in heaven.
The entire unit has managed to pull 20 massive interceptions during the regular season. No other team on the board has managed to come close to that. While Deion has Hunter and his amazing coverage, BYU thrives on forced turnovers. They will do everything possible to knock out the offensive line or tackle Travis Hunter.
