Is Bill Goldberg right to call out Travis Hunter, or is he being too harsh?

At this point, it’s not surprising that this is THE year for Buffs. If Coach Prime and his team miss this shot then they will become the laughingstock of college football. Recently, we have seen Deion bring on former Ravens LB Ray Lewis to give the boys on the team some motivation before they step on the field. Coach Prime’s 2 aces, Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders will be the leading force on the team. However, through the enhancement of the entire O-line and the NFL experience Deion has brought on, the boys have improved. They still cannot let it get to their heads.

So, today August 24th, we got WWE legend Bill Goldberg giving the kids the much-needed reality check. The Pregame Show brings us a snip into the entire exclusive with Bill Goldberg. “Making the best of the moment. I don’t care if you’re Travis. You can always get better,” Goldberg noted. The legend had one major piece of advice. It doesn’t matter how good you are, you still gotta take advantage of the moment and become better. When you are on the field, you have to be accountable to the player next to you, to your coaches, and to yourself. Much like Goldberg pointed out, it doesn’t matter if Travis Hunter is Travis Hunter. While we all know the magic he cooked up last year during the CU opener, we all saw him struggle to move forward with the schedule. NFL Analyst Daniel Jeremiah was the first to point out the areas where Hunter is still yet to improve. “Hunter isn’t quite as polished defensively as a cornerback,” Jeremiah had noted. While it is true that Hunter has impressive playmaking skills and is best when the ball is in his hands, he still struggles when it comes to saving himself from getting knocked off routes and contact catches.

While Deion has ensured that his team has the best competitive advantage this year, there are still chances of them suffering a massive loss. Just like  Chris “The Bear” Fallica had noted back on August 18th, “but all of the new changes on the coaching staff….how is that gonna go.” It isn’t a surprise that there are still doubts regarding the Buffs. They are predicted to have 5.5 wins this year despite all the new upgrades to the roster. However, Joel Klatt on the other end believes that Deion finally has a chance for an easy bowl game.

“Colorado is going to the Bowl game”

Back on August 19th Klatt was quite confident in the ability of Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders to carry the team to an easy win run. “You’ve got one of the best QBs in the game, you have one of the best players in college football,” Klatt had noted. We saw how Hunter has managed to put on more weight this year. Uncle Neely explained that the kid looks much bigger and is much stronger on the field. Also, how can we forget about Shedeur? The kid already made his name with his solid stats last year. While he was sacked more than any other QB, he is still one of the biggest contenders for the Heisman.

Now that the team has access to Pat Shurmur as well, their defense and offense are bound to improve. We even saw glimpses of greatness from the other boys during the fall camp. Will Sheppard locked in some solid plays during the practice session and Drelon Miller doesn’t even look like a freshman as he cruises through the field as the new WR on the team. However, only time will tell what good comes out of this. Go Buffs.
