Football fans, the wait is over. Week 4 of college football is here. Save all your energy and cheer for your favorite teams. Let’s discuss the upcoming clash between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Miami RedHawks, set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, September 21.

Miami (OH) RedHawks have yet to get the start they were hoping for in 2024. Currently, they are among the very few teams that are falling to a 0-2 record. The RedHawks lost their season opener by 7 points to Northwestern, and although they fought hard, they couldn’t turn the game in their favor. In the next week, they fought against Cincinnati, who handed them a 27-16 defeat.

The RedHawks have plenty of games ahead this season, but Chuck Martin and his team have to bounce back and get back on track with today’s game against Notre Dame. On the other hand, Notre Dame has bounced back stronger after a stunning home loss to Northern Illinois. The narrow 2-point defeat left their head coach and players frustrated. Head coach Marcus Freeman knows they cannot afford another setback if he wants his team to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Notre Dame has to target Miami (OH)’s struggling run game

Notre Dame football has finally found its rhythm back with a dominating victory over the Purdue Boilermakers in the third week. Now Marcus Freeman and Irish fighters need to build on that rhythm with another impressive victory today against the Miami (OH) RedHawks. They struggled with their offense against Northern Illinois and lost by a narrow margin. It has not only disappointed Marcus Freeman but the fans as well. Mike Denbrock, offensive coordinator and tight end coach for the Fighters, needs to find their groove and continue to improve.

Fighting Irish need to improve their offense but at the same time, they have to make sure they tap on the RedHawks’ weakness. Miami (OH) RedHawks have been struggling to establish a running game. So far, they are averaging just 32 rushing yards per game. However, today there is no reason for Marcus Freeman and his defense to allow any mistake on the ground. If their defense does not make any mistake, they can easily hold the advantage at the line of scrimmage. Overall, Notre Dame’s success relies heavily on maintaining its momentum.
