Has Jalen Milroe already outshined Travis Hunter in the Heisman race? What do you think?

Week five of college football was the most exciting of the season so far. In addition, other games had outcomes, including Ole Miss losing to Kentucky and Notre Dame defeating Louisville. Among all that, the game that grabbed a lot of attention was between the Alabama Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Jalen Milroe’s Heisman odds compared to Travis Hunter

Jalen Milroe entered the rankings with the fourth-best odds to win the Heisman, but following the Alabama vs. In the Georgia game, Milroe’s rankings spiked, making him the Heisman odds favorite. And why not, after a power-packed performance he gave? The dual-threat player displayed his high efficiency against Georgia, completing 27 out of 33 passes for 374 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 117 yards and had two TDs on the ground.

Milroe’s top-notch performance has caught the attention of analysts all across the nation, resulting in the surge of his Heisman odds from +700 before the game, +225 during the game, and now to +200 a few hours after the game. Besides that, CU buffs fans have already started a buzz saying that Travis Hunter will be the ultimate choice for Heisman, given his contributions to Colorado’s 48-21 victory over UCF on Saturday.

When Hunter got an interception off of Knights, KJ Jefferson, after which Hunter ran towards the end zone and struck the Heisman pose. That play showcased Hunter’s defensive prowess; however, before that, he had already caught a touchdown pass from Shedeur Sanders, finishing the game 89 yards on 9 catches. Moreover, how can we even forget his game-winning play in Week 4? Even star players get one Heisman moment across the season. Hunter has already had several in two games. The offensive number for the season? 561 yards on 46 receptions, including 6 TDs. One has to just watch the games to see how opposition QBs are afraid of throwing the ball towards Hunter’s side. On odd occasions, when they do, we get interceptions like we did against UCF.

Whoever may be the winner, but it’s clear that we have two quality candidates: Jalen Milroe and Travis Hunter. Both are dual-threat in their own ways and crucial to any success their teams are dreaming of having this season.
