Shedeur Sanders roasts Tom Brady's age—Is Brady really too old for the game?

NFL GOAT Tom Brady got yet another name added to his long list of roasters. Uh-oh! But the new one emerged too late, otherwise, he would have definitely gotten himself a front-row seat on the Netflix famous show, The Roast of Tom Brady that got released in May. The new roaster is- college football star, Shedeur Sanders. The Buffs QB threw Brady under the bus, asserting as to when ‘not’ to have kids!

Right at the moment, the Buffs QB is under a lot of pressure when it comes to his performance. He is carrying the burden of getting sacked five times on his shoulders after the disastrous feat against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. But who cares? Shedeur plans to lighten the Buffs fans’ mood by dropping a new episode of his podcast 2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders. No better way to lighten their mood than the discussion of Shedeur’s personal life exploring his plans to have kids. If you’re waiting for the Buffs QB to settle, you better grab a chair and wait for a bit longer cause Deion Sanders’ son is still “not ready for that.”

And like the ideal podcast co-host, Darius Sanders refused to push the ‘having kids’ discussion under the carpet and rather came up with another bomb question. “So would you rather have a kid at the peak of your career or after you retire?” asked Darius. While Shedeur avoided answering that question like a pro, he ensured to land it back at the co-host. The Buffs QB asked, “Okay if you retired Tom Brady then will you going to have a kid that age?”

While Darius was still confused about what to reply, Shedeur did not wait any longer and dropped a mocking jab at Brady, “Your kid going to be 20 you going to be 80.” Right after the comment he realized that this could land him in trouble so he tried to fix things with a humble reply, “I don’t know how old he is.” No matter what, like any other college kid, Brady has always been Shedeur’s idol.

Shedeur Sanders’ bold assessment of himself got a new take

Last year, in an interview with Zion Olojede of Complex.com, Shedeur compared himself to a mixture of two legends, one of them being Tom Brady and the other, Michael Vick. The Buffs QB claimed, “I’m a mixture. I’m able to stay in the pocket and want to deliver the ball each and every play like Brady but be able to extend plays and if it’s not there, take it like Vick.”

Even though such a big claim landed him in the hot seat, particularly after coming off with 52 sacks last season, DNVR Buffs podcast co-host Jake Schwanitz came up with an interesting take. He introduced Joe Burrow’s name, replacing Brady and Vick, “It’s Joe Burrow for me, extremely accurate. He’s going too well this is not even trait-wise but he (Shedeur) could have a senior season this year like Joe Burrow did with that LSU team.”

Have an interesting take?

While initially, it might sound that the host did not find the courage to treat someone as novice as Shedeur to the bigshot like Brady, the misconception soon got cleared out. Jake stated, “We were comping Joe Burrow to Tom Brady a lot when he was coming out too.” So if not directly, Shedeur Sanders still got lucky with his comparison with the GOAT. Now let’s see if his age joke about Brady gets the legend’s attention.
