Curiouser and curiouser. We’ll say that about Shedeur Sanders’ NFL future. Entering the 2025 NFL Draft as one of the top QB prospects, the Colorado Buffs QB has already linked himself with multiple franchises – New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, and Cleveland Browns, among others. But what if one of Deion Sanders’ old teams is in the mix too? 

With the draft day inching closer, ML Football is back with intriguing development on Shedeur Sanders. In a new X post on January 15, they posted the 22-year-old’s response to Deion Sanders’ HC talks with the Dallas Cowboys. Per Dallas Daily News, “Shedeur Sanders approves of his father, Deion Sanders becoming the next head coach of Dallas #Cowboys. ‘I think it would be cool.’”

It still remains to be seen what outcome Deion Sanders’ conversation with the NFL team will ultimately bring. But does Shedeur Sanders have any interest in the Cowboys? But if we go back to the time when the Alamo Bowl was happening, all signs point towards Shedeur Sanders’ probability to land with the New York Giants. And that customized Giants cleats which he proudly showed off was the fuel that fired the Giants fans. But they’re already experiencing a rude awakening starting with the Buffs HC’s explanation of his son’s cleats incident. 

In an episode on Tamron Hall, Deion Sanders cleared that interest rumors linked with Shedeur’s custom cleats. He admitted, “He has some Tennessee cleats too. And some Raiders cleats, he got every color cleats.” No surprise there. The Sanders family has a thing for sneakers and cleats. Coach Prime already has his successful line of the Nike Air Max DT shoes and his QB son is following in his footsteps after his Nike contract. But this post triggered frustration from the Giants fans. 

Giants fans slam Shedeur’s Cowboys rumors

Does Shedeur Sanders’ response carry any hint that he’s interested in the Cowboys? One Giants fan answered it saying, “Not happening. Shedeur is a Giant🤣” But in a situation where anything could happen, this sort of confidence hurt most when the worst case scenario happens. 

Another person’s frustration extended to the Sanders’ family. They spitefully commented, “Family of douchebags.” Quite some pent-up emotion there! 

One user couldn’t get a grasp of the post’s significance. They wrote, “This literally means nothing.” For all we know, it could be nothing. 

We can only relate with this next person who would rather read anything else any other day. They fumed, “This is such a stupid story.” Or is it?

Perhaps, Shedeur just thinks it would be cool to see his dad coaching in the NFL. No wonder this person left a sarcastic comment, “What a dynamite hard-hitting post.” But what if there’s some truth? 

We’ve already seen that Deion Sanders is willing to step in to enable his sons to land in the right NFL organization. He’s also mentioned that he might reconsider his thoughts of coaching in the NFL if he can get to teach his sons. And now that he’s hearing from the Dallas Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones, last minute change of plans could bring about a whole new narrative.
