The Texas Longhorns won a commanding 34-3 win against Oklahoma. After which, the sooner’s defensive back, Billy Bowman Jr. made some disturbing revelations. “we just gift-wrapped them opportunities. We just gave it to them. As a defense, we’re better than that. End of story. We have it to them.” Doesn’t that seem like sour grapes? However, head coach Steve Sarkisian replied to that by saying, “Not my problem. We won. Next game.” That’s cool, but how will Sarkisian react to Texas insider Gerry Hamilton‘s comments, calling out drawbacks in Sarkisian’s team?

The famous channel on YouTube, College Football Addiction, recently shared an episode talking with a Texas insider, Gerry Hamilton, who discussed Texas’s strategies to take down their SEC rival team, the Georgia Bulldogs, this weekend. However, the discussion turned hot when Hamilton spoiled some tea on Steve Sarkisian’s drawbacks this season.

He started by saying, “They’ve had some adversity through, you know, maybe some self-inflicted on penalties, but they haven’t had adversity where you look up and scoreboard, you’re like, my gosh, we’re down 10 or 14 points here, and we’re actually this team across from us is just as talented as that’s the thing. That’s the one adversity Texas hasn’t had this year, and they will have it potentially. You think Georgia is the only offense that can do it, though; I don’t know. Maybe aiming at the end of the year, maybe in Arkansas, but that would be the one thing for me: if you get a real adverse situation, what are you going to do? Because you haven’t been in it this year, but I do think it’s an experienced team.” He explained the adversity in close games.

moving forward, he talked about another possible mistake Sarkisian’s boys have been making, which is, “The other thing, the other thing I would say was, is Texas has they gave up a run fit, miss touchdown. They gave up. They gave up. Mississippi State got behind him a couple times.” In short, Hamilton talked about three major loopholes, which are adversity in close games, and defensive vulnerabilities. RBs, CJ Baxter & Christian Clark are out. With that, it becomes intriguing to notice how Texas overcomes its shortcomings before a crucial game. With Texas entering this game holding an unbeatable title and Georgia losing just one game against Alabama, this SEC clash is even more intense. Apart from that, let’s look at some other deets of this SEC rivalry that Gerry Hamilton talked about.

Texas insider on Steve Sarkisian’s strategies to take down Georgia

Moving forward, Hamilton highlighted Steve Sarkisian’s positives, which may turn out victorious against Georgia. “This is a massive game, not just for the season but also for recruiting purposes. Texas hadn’t had one recruiting baby since Alabama. compares the source of steel building. This is over one ranked Texas coming off the playoff season, in which they already blew out Michigan in Ann Arbor. Now blew out Oklahoma in Dallas.” he explained how Texas is doing a great job this season given their undefeated winning streak and taking down major programs like Michigan and Oklahoma.

Besides that, Hamilton pointed out how a 31-12 win over Michigan and a 34-3 victory against Oklahoma impacted Texas’s stand in the CFB world, saying, “Then you’re ranked no. one. but consensus number one Texas went into Cotton Bowl ranked number one, first time since April. yeah, and it does feel like in a college football landscape that everything seems so wide open.” if his words turn out true and Texas secures a victory against an elite program like Georgia, their chances for the CFB playoffs solidify even more.
