The Georgia and Alabama face-off was a test for two dominant forces in college football. And Kirby Smart’s Dawgs missed their opportunity to reach the top. However, the big question is, will they revive their position in their next game against the Auburn Tigers? Don’t make any predictions yet, as the insider has Smart’s opinion on it!
Today in a recent episode of the UGA Football on Dawg Post insider predicted the outcome of the Georgia Bulldogs Saturday’s game against Auburn. Interesting fact: the insider took Bulldog’s head coach Kirby Smart’s opinion as a backup to support his thoughts on their upcoming showdown, giving Auburn an edge over Georgia, saying, “Here’s what Kirby Smart had to say, and I somewhat agree with him. He said Auburn’s offense is hard to stop, as crazy as that sounds. He said, Everyone’s going to say I’m crazy, but they’re physical.”
Well, Kirby Smart is not totally wrong. Even if Auburn lost last week’s game against Oklahoma, it was more of a missed opportunity. In the fourth quarter, Tigers star quarterback Payton Thorne tried to shoot a Hail Mary attempt, which ended 13 yards short, resulting in a win for the Sooners. Meanwhile, you can also not ignore his overall gameplay against them. As Payton completed 21 out of his 32 passes, running for 338 yards with three touchdowns, now it’s quite clear why their offense is hard to stop.

Even in the podcast, the insider mentioned that Kirby Smart said Jarquez Hunter is a lot like Nick Chubb, one of the greatest RBs of the Cleveland Browns of the NFL. Which is a huge compliment. Well, for now, let’s talk about Georgia’s upsetting performance against Alabama.

Kirby Smart’s take on Dawgs’ loss vs Alabama
Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs had a challenging game against Bama. The Crimson Tide shocked everyone by keeping the Dawgs at 28-0 until the start of the second quarter and holding a 30-7 halftime lead. However, Georgia’s star quarterback Carson Beck attempted to contribute to the team’s struggling gameplay by rushing for 439 yards and scoring three touchdowns, but four turnovers and a late interception overshadowed his efforts. Additionally, Georgia’s defense had a weak performance, surrendering 547 yards to Alabama and allowing numerous big plays.
Despite that, Kirby Smart remained hopeful about his team. He praised their performance after the game and took responsibility for Georgia’s loss. “It was one hell of a game,” Kirby Smart said. “Obviously, we were not really prepared, and that falls on me, in the first half. We didn’t do a great job, especially defensively. We also gave them short fields.”
