Carson Beck is the full package! Not just a top quarterback, but a sharp student, too. The kid is not just leading on the field but also excelling in the classroom. And now it’s time to celebrate this summer graduate!
Beck joined the University of Georgia in 2020, but his journey wasn’t smooth. Despite leading the Bulldogs to back-to-back titles, he got his starting quarterback role fashionably late. After getting it last year, he guided the Bulldogs to a 13-1 season and an Orange Bowl victory. Post all that hard work, Beck is now proudly wearing his graduation cap, and his mom couldn’t be prouder.
Tracy Beck celebrated her son’s graduation on her IG story. She kept it simple but heartfelt: “So proud of you” with a sprinkle of heart emojis. And guess what? Her all-rounder son aced it! Carson Beck snagged his BSEd in Sports Management from UGA, and rumor has it, he passed with flying colors. Not just that, Coach Kirby Smart, too, joined the applause. He posted a pic with Carson in that graduation gown and wrote, “Congratulations to @carsonbeck01 for graduating this summer!!”

Now, as the Bulldogs head into the 2024 season, Beck is leading the Heisman talks and even seen as a potential first-round draft pick. Reflecting on his journey, Beck shared with Dawg Post, “Everyone comes into college and thinks I’m going to start as a freshman.” But after backing up Stetson Bennett, he realized patience was key. “The mind initially says I’m getting out of here,” Beck admitted. But sticking it out clearly paid off.

In last week’s interview with On3’s JD Pickell, Beck showed his maturity as a senior. “Last year, I was much more internally focused because I was competing for the job. I had to look at what I was doing most of the time,” he explained. Now that he’s no longer a junior or a QB2, Beck is ready to embrace his senior role. “I think my focus has become more outwardly focused on my teammates and how I can be the best player to make the people around me better,” he said confidently.
Looks like the Bulldogs have found their new leader in Beck. And if everything goes right, not only will the team benefit, but Beck’s draft stock could also rise. Let’s see if this new graduate can pass this season in flying colors!
