Losing to the Ole Miss Rebels does not bode well for the Georgia Bulldogs. As Kirby Smart’s team prepares to face Tennessee this week, they can expect to encounter numerous challenges. However, there is someone who has faith in their abilities and is encouraging them to elevate their performance and assert a formidable stance against the Vols. Yet one wonders if Tennessee will allow that to happen. Given their performance against Bama, it will be interesting to hear their thoughts on Georgia’s upcoming game.
On November 15, ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum, NFL player Tim Tebow, and NFL star safety player Roman Harper came in together to discuss which team might have an edge in the game between Georgia and the Vols. Everyone sort of has belief in Georgia; however, former Gators Heisman winner Tim Tebow thinks it’s time for the Dawgs to prove their doubters wrong. “There should be a chip on Georgia’s shoulder because of the disrespect—not because they’ve played perfectly this year but because, at times, they’ve looked a lot better than most teams. They’ve dominated at times throughout this season,” he said.

Well, the Georgia Bulldogs had a hard time playing against Ole Miss’s strong defense. And their star quarterback, Carson Beck, threw another interception and was unable to score a single touchdown throughout the game. This is something Kirby Smart should focus on ahead of their game against the Vols. Even in their game against Alabama, the offense was a major issue.
However, the team did have to face strong opponents and still managed to make their presence noticed in the ongoing season. But is that taken into account while measuring the team’s capabilities? Let’s see what head coach Kirby Smart has to say about it.

Kirby Smart’s take on Georgia’s tough schedule
There is no doubt that the Georgia Bulldogs are one of the strongest teams in the SEC league. But this season they have faced some of the really tough opponents and have also traveled a lot to play the game. The team played their season opener game against the Clemson Tigers and also traveled to play some top-ranked programs like Alabama, Texas, and Ole Miss. Now, this is not a walk in the park, plus, can we blame them completely for finally getting exhausted with all the pressure building up on the team since the start of the season?
Well, even with such a tough schedule, the Bulldogs just lost two games in the season, but does that loss carry more value than their wins? Even head coach Kirby Smart reflected on the same thought process, saying, “Like, what’s the importance of the schedule if we play a really tough schedule? Is there value in that? I think there’s value in it if you win, and when you don’t, I don’t know. I don’t know how much the committee values it.” We all know how much the team suffered after losing against Ole Miss last week.

However, there is still hope left for the Dawgs to make it to the playoffs this season. The team is now standing on a 7-2 overall and 5-2 streak in the conference, and if they win the remaining three games, they can make it to the playoffs. The Vols game is their final, tough stretch of the season. Let’s see if they can pull off a remarkable win!
