Was Terrance Ferguson's throw on Ryan O'Keefe justified, or did he cross the line?

The upcoming game between Boston College and Florida State in Tallahassee could be a game-changer for the ACC race. Although FSU suffered a surprising loss to Georgia Tech in their Week 0 opener in Dublin, the team did not leave hope and rolled its sleeves for their next challenge. On this spot, Bill O’Brien, Boston College coach, mentioned the game can be challenging because “We know Florida State’s a very good team, great coaching staff, great crowd,“.

However, the coach of Boston was confident that his team was well-prepared to compete. So, the game would be a treat to fans as well as followers. Unfortunately, an unpleasant incident took place during the game which left fans and coaches shocked. Let me share the incident details with you.

College football is full of excitement and a load of expectations for fans and followers. Today’s match between FSU and Boston exemplifies this. In CFB, players are allowed to show their excitement or anger but in a sportsmanship manner. Throwing a player out of anger is something which not tolerated.

On September 3, 2024, Unnecessary Roughness posted a video of the FSU vs Boston game where FSU’s offensive lineman, Terrance Ferguson, threw Boston WR, Ryan O’Keefe on the ground and controversy followed. Many think this controversy can lead FSU to gain a title for the bad days. Although the consequences of this action of Ferguson have not been revealed yet. In week 1 action, Ferguson helped the Oregon Ducks escape with a 24-14 victory over the FCS. Alongside, the four-star prospect of FSU’s offensive lineman caught seven passes for 87 yards. Not to forget, he is the 11th transfer addition for FSU in the winter portal class. On this note, FSU’s head coach, Mike Norvell, said, “I am so excited about TJ joining the Nole Family“. Moreover, he stated, “He brings tremendous size and athleticism with an incredibly high ceiling for the impact he can make. TJ is a wonderful young man off the field who is extremely intelligent, with a great plan to maximize his opportunity here at Florida State.

In 2023, Ferguson appeared in five games for the Crimson Tide, playing a total of 116 snaps. He started for ‘Bama in their early season matchup against South Florida.
