Michigan slightly dodged the curse of an underwhelming season last week with a blowout victory against Northwestern, but they are still out of the playoff berth. The five losses under the belt smashed the glory of the defending national champion. Not only the on-field clog is making it hard for the Wolverines, but the pen and paper trouble took a new turn amidst the season’s end. The sign-stealing scandal continues to haunt Sherrone Morre while he keeps making it complex instead of taking a decisive step and leaving it for good.

In college football, the signing-up process contains a lot of insider sin. Like teams used to send scouts to watch the opposition game live and gain some guilty information over there. It used to be just an extra effort toward flipping another’s commit. But ethics left the board meanwhile. Addressing the malpractice, the NCAA banned this (specifically the use of technology). But that wasn’t enough to ward it off completely. Since last year when Jim Harbaugh was in charge, the Wolverines kept on taking the bumps for an alleged involvement in Connor Stalions’s sign-manipulating controversy. Michigan is awaiting a punishment but an OSU insider noted, ”My understanding is where we sit right now is there has been an extension granted. I believe it’s 30 days that they have.”

For those unversed, Stallions, the former Michigan off-field analyst, reportedly purchased tickets to more than 35 games at 17 stadiums across the nation to scout upcoming opponents on the Wolverines’ schedule. Although it’s not known how much it actually gave a leg up to Michigan over its rivals, their involvement is highly rumored. NCAA called out the Wolverines on August 25th via an official notice and guess what? It’s getting worse for Moore and his squad.

‘The NCAA has added additional allegations to the charges against Michigan so again which brings us all back to point one which was, you know, for the Michigan fans that are out they’re going oh this is nothing oh this is look on the NCAA dashboard and go count the number of negotiated resolutions and then count the number of cases that have gone to full hearing and what you’ll see is its very, very rare for cases to go to full hearing there is a reason why Michigan has not been able to settle this yet.” the insider dove deep into the logic behind demanding extension.

But all that he does is create more liabilities for the Wolverines. They are withholding a fine or a bull band, but not sending out a very good example to deal with this kind of situation.

Is Michigan's legacy tarnished forever, or can they bounce back from this scandalous season?

”Bad days ahead for Michigan and they’re just delaying the inevitable and um so I think we’re gonna have to probably wait another 30 days for that but that should get us past the date with the first notice of allegations become subject to the Freedom of Information Act and I think that’ll become public knowledge and we so we should all have a much clearer picture about what uh Michigan is facing here really really shortly,” Buckeye Scoop podcast spilled it out.

Bryce Underwood and the big $200 million might be a reason for Moore to postpone the punishment but the former LSU commit is already cracking it up.

Did Bryce Underwood show signs of embroiling in Michigan’s sign-stealing controversy?

Michigan football has come a long way with Bryce Underwood. From in-state boosters offering millions to his table to social media personnel hyping up the flipping chance, Moore didn’t let even a single ball be wasted. The top recruit of that nation was strictly unconvinced about considering Michigan’s offer, giving us a strong ethical impression of this highly volatile recruitment reality.

Finally, a lump sum NIL deal broke the ice on Underwood and he ditched Kelly to join forces with the Wolverines. All of these sounded great to the Michigan fans unless and until they saw a viral picture of Underwood with the alleged sign-stealing ring leader, Connor Stalions.

Underwood is on his first trip to Ann Arbor after being flipped and he came across the present coach of his former school, Belleville High School. The duo posed for a picture and the social media feeds got flooded with comments.

While it’s just as simple as it sounds, Michigan’s future hinging on the Stalions’ scandal is not.
