Hope you aren’t forgetting Florida State already! Well, the kind of stuff they are doing this season, no wonder if their most loyal fans stop talking about them. An 11-31 loss to the Gators added salt to their wounds. 2-10, yeah, you heard that right; it’s unbelievable but true. The Seminoles are standing among the most disappointing teams of this season. While their season was long over, a final loss was just an official statement of it. Meanwhile, what can be Mike Norvell‘s ultimate lesson from this blunder?
As per the current buzz, Norvell is going to change their offensive coordinator after a disappointing season. The top target for this post is Gus Malzahn, who’s going to get announced as Florida State’s new offensive coordinator in the next couple of days. Meanwhile, a Florida State commit, Kevin Spray, made some hopeful comments about the drowning Seminoles.
“It’s been great. I was talking to Coach Norvell and Coach Tokarz. Just trying to figure out the vision and talk about the future a little bit. I love the culture here. I love what they’re about. I can’t wait for the future. I’m just going to keep doing the same things that we’re doing, bringing in new OC. Obviously, this year didn’t go as planned, but I do believe that they’ll bounce back. And there are a lot of young guys who are stepping up. And every day, you briefly talked about new OC, or, I guess, potential new OC. I’ll meet him later today.”

During a candid conversation with a reporter, Kevin Spray didn’t hold back talking about FSU’s sinking ship this year but he’s hopeful that his dream school will bounce back and achieve all that they deserve. While given his words, it looks like the young guy has high hopes for their new offensive coordinator, Gus Malzahn.
Sperry is the guy who surprised everyone after he flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to join the Seminoles on November 21. He committed right after a former QB, Tramell Jones, flipped to Florida. Now, Sperry is planning to make an official visit in December and is also thinking of enrolling early in January. Meanwhile, other elite commits are going to be a perfect addition to Florida State’s sinking ship.
Elite commits might as well follow their HC to join Mike Norvell’s crew
So the Seminoles are about to make it official and announce Gus Malzhan as their new OC. After spending four years as UCF’s head coach, what changes can he bring to the Seminoles? And can he bring some familiar faces with him? Well, here is a list of a few UCF players who might follow their head coach.

The first guy is TE Randy Pittman Jr., the former FSU commit turned UCF star, who got 51 catches, 631 yards, and 2 TDs from the two seasons he played at the UCF. Standing at 6-2 and 225 pounds, he’d give the Seminoles a solid TE choice so that Amaree Williams can focus on defense. Then there’s IOL Caden Kitler.
Playing center in his first season, this guy holds a cool 69.6 PFF grade. Standing at 6-2 and 295 pounds, he’s not a so-beasty guy, but he’s swift enough to leverage defenders and sealing blocks. He can be the brightest gem in FSU’s future team after Maurice Smith left for the NFL. following that, there is DT Lee Hunter.
He’s huge, standing at 6-4 and around 320 pounds. He has grabbed 131 tackles and 21.5 TFLs over the three seasons he played at UCF. He got a nearly perfect NFL size and PFF grade; at 77.4, he’d make a standout starter for FSU. Then there’s DE Malachi Lawrence, with 12.5 sacks in just two seasons. Lawrence got the perfect size at 6-4 and 250 pounds to heat up as a pass rusher.

Last but not least, there is DE Nyjalik Kelly, who was also formerly an FSU commit turned UCF standout. He got 5.5 sacks and 23 OQ pressures with a magnificent 79.6 PFF grade. He would make a perfect addition to FSU’s falling defense. With all these elite guys, FSu can turn the table in the upcoming season, while Malzahn’s connection can bring some serious momentum.
