A 5th-grade boy just had his first game of football a few blocks away from his home. He enjoyed the game, played well, and was determined to play more in the future (or maybe not). The boy reaches his home only to find Ryan Day, Kirby Smart, Bill Belichick, and several other Power 4 coaches sitting impatiently in his living room. Their assistants crunching numbers for them. Their coordinators trying to talk to his parents. Waiting for him. In order to get his commitment to each of their 2034 recruitment class.
What can the boy do now, right? But, as hilarious as the situation may sound, it’s actually a reality for the teams right now in college football. The motto right now is: ‘A commitment a day keeps rivals at bay.’ A somewhat similar situation has happened to Ethan Feaster, the highly touted 2027 class prospect.
Ethan Feaster, a wide receiver, had his first offer when he was in eighth grade from TCU. Of course, he didn’t make a commitment. The later years until now will see him receiving offers from almost 50 schools, including every major school in college football. He was slated to join the 2027 class of either of those teams and was looking forward to it. But, considering the talent he possesses, he actually didn’t wait that long and has come up with a new plan…

He has now reclassified himself as a prospect of the 2026 class and is looking forward to visits to 4 major colleges. Those are the Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M, USC Trojans, and LSU Tigers. On3 Recruits posted an update on the player. “4-star WR (Ethan) Boobie Feaster tells Chad Simmons he has locked in two of his official visits, with plans to see a pair of other programs too… Feaster reclassified from 2027 earlier this week.” He also shared a message in a video…
“Ever since I was a five-year-old, it was my dream to be the best player in the country. I know there is no time to waste: I am ready to go get it now. This year, I am giving all my favorite coaches a special Valentine’s gift, I will be graduating next year in the class of 2026. The time is now!”. Well, in 2026 or 2027, the talent the player possesses is extremely high; that is because he is currently ranked 17th nationally in his position in the 2026 class and 91st nationally. Apart from that, he is 6 feet tall and weighs 175 pounds, combining that with his speed and ball-tracking skills. He looks like the real deal. But where among the 4 colleges is he going?

Potential destination of Ethan Feaster
Well, his change of mind to switch class years may have come from Crimson Tide’s Ryan Williams, who switched to the 2024 class when he was slated to join in 2025. So, naturally, that would mean he is going to seriously consider Alabama. And while that may be true, his upcoming visits may have a bigger bearing on choosing his college. Here’s why.
In a recent interview with oN3, he praised the job Texas A&M was doing with their program and also praised Coach Mike Elko. “I love their culture. They are strong on that 12th man,” Feaster said of A&M. “When you get in that stadium, you see LSU had a problem when they played them. (Coach Mike Elko) You see what he did at Duke. Now he’s had a year in the SEC. I feel like they got a chance to make it to the playoffs for sure.” That may come as a surprise, but he had actually visited Texas A&M on an unofficial visit two times previously and certainly knows the culture behind the program. But what about the Longhorns or LSU?

Well, he has visited the Longhorns 3 times and is looking forward to them too. It also makes sense since he is a Desoto, Texas native, and close proximity to his home will certainly play a part in his choice. As far as LSU goes, he did visit them in March last year. Apart from that, he has his official visit scheduled for USC Trojans in June this year.
