Like father like son? Yes, but with a “different” version, as per Shedeur. The signature Coach Prime shoes are a massive hit among the fans, so much so, that they sell out like hotcakes a few hours after they’ve been launched. Amid all the craze around his father’s iconic Nike sneakers, Shedeur Sanders has decided to come out with his own set of shoes that will help him overcome the popularity of Deion’s influence and instead, promote his own. Just like the song that Shedeur made, this partnership being announced right before the season starts, seems to be “perfect timing!”
On 28th August, it was announced that Shedeur and Nike have entered into a footwear and apparel deal which will surely boost the NIL valuation of the QB by a drastic amount. Moreover, this will be Shedeur’s moment to step outside of his father’s shadow and release his pairs of shoes rather than fawn over the Nike DT Air Max ’95, the iconic Coach Prime signature shoes.

During the recent episode of the ‘2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders’ podcast’, the youngster almost manifested it when he was asked whether he’d want to build up on his father’s cleats or create his own. Fortunately, Shedeur responded with, “I would want to build on it, have like a different version.” Thus, the Sanders men continue to create more history with each passing day, and as for Shedeur, he is showcasing signs of a generational talent that the NFL would be glad to welcome to its doors next year. That being said, here’s a more detailed look into Shedeur’s historic partnership with Nike.
Shedeur is the first-ever college athlete to achieve such a feat!
30 years after the deal between ‘Prime Time’ Deion and Nike was made, his son Shedeur is now stepping up to follow in his footsteps. Shedeur is already the wealthiest college athlete with an NIL valuation of $4.7 million and this partnership with Nike will surely boost his net worth by a lot. What makes this deal so “legendary” is that Shedeur is the first NCAA player to sign an NIL deal with Nike.
Adding on to the pyramids of deals with brands like Gatorade, Google, Urban Outfitters, and EA Sports, Nike might just be the cherry on the cake now. While it’s still not confirmed if Shedeur will be releasing his very own shoes or modifications to the Coach Prime sneakers, it is evident that the QB will have customized Nike apparel, which is still a major achievement for a 22-year-old college athlete.
