The NFL draft is in full swing. Among all the hopefuls looking to find their home in professional football tonight is Cam Ward. What’s notable is that the Miami QB is the only quarterback who has maintained a solid predicted draft position across all the mock drafts. Straight and simple. The guy is the top dog! Despite the relatively uncertain draft board this year, particularly concerning the QB room, not many can argue that stance. The explosive scoreboard and a robust physique made him a sure-shot catch for the Tennessee Titans.

The journey was far from a cakewalk, nonetheless. From a mediocre high school quarterback in a Wing-T offense to a projected No.1 pick in the NFL offense, Ward turned the page in his career and never looked back. As a zero-star recruit, Ward received only one FCS offer. He always had those elite traits in him from high school to Washington State, but the Canes tapped into his hidden potential with a huge exposure. In 2024 alone, Ward won the Davey O’Brien Award and the 2024 Manning Awards and was awarded Miami’s first ACC Player of the Year. Thanks to a record-breaking scorecard featuring 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns.

The best trait of the Miami quarterback is that he never fails to prove the naysayers wrong whenever he takes over the field. The grit, the passion, and the flawless execution made a perfect fit for Brian Callahan’s desperate search for a ”generational talent.” Titans President of Football Operations Chad Brinker blatantly revealed his stance. However, it’s not just the field legacy the Boss is known for….

Ward showed he’s not only draft-ready, but he’s also ready to set the red carpet on fire tonight. The quarterback posted a few snaps of himself donning a cream-white-colored suit adorned with minimalistic gold jewelry. The caption reads: “Draft Ready…#BeYourOwnBOSS #ad”

But the color theme took a turn for the worse when fans in the comment section started to roast his dressing sense. Ohh! The boy didn’t flex a gloss pink, bright red, or gorgeous green combo to highlight his presence on the stage, and a chunk of the social media fashion gurus think it’s way too timid to appear in an elite event like the draft night.

Do you remember his outfit for the Heisman ceremony when he was a top 4 finalist? A classy, chic all-black suit with black shoes. Well, this time, Ward chose the exact opposite color theme. But hey, he seems to always be a fan of monochrome.

College football analyst Joel Klatt couldn’t get enough of Cam Ward’s ability to sling the ball and seize every opportunity that he gets under pressure. “Tennessee addressed its hole at left tackle by bringing in Dan Moore from Pittsburgh to protect Cam Ward. So this fits in a lot of ways, and you guys know how I feel about Cam. Live arm. He can stretch the field, attack every blade of grass.” So yeah, Ward found the right fit, and so did Tennessee. He’s got everything right under his nose, heading to the watershed moment of his career. But no, fans have their eyes hooked on his dress….

Internet doesn’t seem interested in Cam Ward’s smooth and clean attire for the draft night

If you twist your vision a bit, the off-white suit might come off as the most professional, most mature fit of the night, just like a pick 1 should flex. But those who love the eye-popping glamour find it a little out off place. They didn’t hesitate to directly call the athlete out for the same. “Cam? Change that suit, gang,” one IG user wrote. A flurry of fans seconded him in the replies.

They also got into the fit of the dress. The suit looks well-fitted but not too tight to give it an overtly bold look. Fans saw it as another instance of a fashion faux pas. They also brought up another top-5 pick and cheekily commented on their weight. “Did Boss use Abdul Carter’s measurements?? ,” one user put his thoughts in comments. Crater (250 lbs) is 27 pounds heavier than Ward.

In the NFL draft, the dress code showcases many unseen aspects of a player’s personality. When stylists work with these prospects, they aim to ensure the event’s tone is reflected through a personalized touch from the player. As an individual, Ward is a clear leader in the locker room, yet he understands his boundaries and never overuses his influence. A subtle white ensemble perfectly represents the blend of leadership and humble demeanor characteristic of an elite athlete like no other. But some fans didn’t buy it well. “I hope that ain’t what u wearing tonight main man,” another one dished, another fashion stumble on his way.

Another IG user, however, put it on a much lighter note. He said Cam doesn’t want to match the vibe of the red carpet for a reason. “My boy is getting dressed to take a quick stroll on the red carpet cause he won’t be in the draft room long 😂😂😂,” he wrote.

One fan, on the other hand, had a very specific color suggestion for Cam. “Put the navy blue one on the king,” he commented. But it’s too late to suggest. Ward, on white, is our go!
