If the 5-5 season wasn’t enough, it looks like Lincoln Riley is taking another massive L. See, the Julian Lewis dilemma has been something that has haunted USC, the Buffs, and a couple of other teams. A few weeks back, we found out that one of the biggest contenders to grab the 5-star QB, Hoosiers, is stepping away from the race. The reasoning was simple. Indiana is on a massive 10-0 run, and they don’t want to gamble their 2025 season on a freshman like Julian Lewis. It looks like high stats are not enough to get you to any team hub. But, see, that is not what we are here to discuss.

Back on Instagram, Hayes Fawcett shared a post with the caption, “BREAKING: Elite 2025 QB Julian Lewis has Decommitted from USC, he tells me for @on3recruits.” Big news right? But not nearly big enough for what we are going to reveal next. See, in the comment section, we found a comment from Quanell Farrakhan. Now, who is he? 4-star WR commit for the 2025 class. Now you will wonder for which team and well, it is the Buffs. Farrakhan simply left a clock emoji under the post and this does make us think that Lewis might finally be heading home.

Lewis coming back to Deion Sanders has been a topic of debate for a long time. We reported a long time back that national recruiting analyst Philip Dukes had pointed out that Coach Prime has “a lot of momentum” when it comes to getting Lewis in for the 2025 roster. And this pick makes perfect sense as well.

With Shedeur Sanders leaving after the 2025 NFL draft, Lewis will be the perfect guy to lead Colorado. Dude already has managed to gain a QB rating of 140 points and has remained a 5-star athlete marked by 247Sports and On3. Despite that entire episode of Juju’s rating being slashed, this kid still managed to bounce back.

Another instance that kind of solidified the inclination towards the Buffs is Lewis being at the sideline during the Bearcats game. The kid was in awe watching Colorado run over Cincinnati during that showdown and grabbing a historic 6-2 run. However, speculations aside, we are yet to hear any final confirmations from Lewis or anyone from the Buffs. Another thing you gotta keep in mind is that Deion Sanders ain’t the only one left in the race right now. With USC and Hoosiers out, there is a new contender in town.

The Dawgs are coming

What’s your perspective on:

Is Lincoln Riley losing his touch, or is Julian Lewis just not worth the gamble?

Have an interesting take?

Okay, so Kirby Smart and Co; the recruitment season for the Bulldogs has been one filled with surprises. They have managed to lose on some notable names; Shamari Earls left for Michigan, and Jared Curtis called it off with the Dawgs, who are currently checking out better options.

So, they need someone for their 2025 class, and who could be a better pick than Lewis? A few days back we covered an oopie Juju made on his Instagram story. He snapped and shared a photo and tagged the University of Colorado Boulder in it. Later on, after someone on X pointed it out, Lewis quickly switched it to the University of Georgia.

Honest mistake, but yeah, Lewis did visit UGA, and this does not look good for Deion Sanders and his plans. While we did point out that the Colorado mistake is basically Coach Prime living in the kid’s head rent-free, however, you also gotta keep in mind that if Smart decides to pursue this commitment, it will spell trouble for the Buffs and their 2025 roster plans.
