It ain’t a good day to be Ryan Day. You know what? The Buckeyes’ downfall has to be one of the worst this season. Went on a massive 10-win run with just one game away from getting the conference title showdown and maybe winning it as well. But then there came a sweet roadblock called Michigan Wolverines. Not only did OSU lose once again to Michigan, but this time, it was on their home turf and to a version of the Wolverines that is basically on life support. And you know that this is going to have a massive ripple effect. Not only did OSU lose their 2nd seed on the penultimate CFP rankings, but they are also feeling heat on signing day.

That’s right, folks. It’s Wednesday, and it is time the commits sign that letter of intent, and guess what happened to OSU? Yeah, they lost a commitment. Back on 247Sports, Brandon Huffman mentioned, “Na’eem Offord is looking like he may stay with Ohio State. Tom Loy just gave us that information.” Now, here is the deal. Na’eem Offord pulled a reverse UNO card on this matter. Just minutes later, we got to know from On3 recruits that Offord has flipped over to the current reigning champ of the CFP world: The Ducks.

It must feel good to be Dan Lanning right now. Not only is the man sitting on top of the Stark Tower (CFP ranking) but he is also taking away the best of the bunch from other teams. Losing Offord is not something OSU should be taking lightly.

Not only did Ryan Day lose the No.4 overall player in the entire country, but he also fumbled the No.1 cornerback for the 2025 class coming from Alabama. Just a few minutes ago, we covered that this national signing day could be the key to saving Day’s job at OSU.

With this loss? The future ain’t looking good for the HC. However, we are here to save the day (kind of) with some good news. While OSU and Day took a hit from Oregon and Dan Lanning, they also managed to land a counterblow, but it was Georgia who caught the hit. Oops.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Ryan Day's leadership to blame for Ohio State's recent struggles and recruitment woes?

Have an interesting take?

Okay, you know what? The entire commitment scene for the Dawgs has been hilarious. Early on, we saw Jared Curtis decommitt from the Dawgs because he was looking for “better options”. He has Bama and Ole Miss in his crosshairs.

But moving on from that, Shamari Earls flipped from Georgia to the Wolverines, and this was one of the more surprising ones. But coming to the OSU scene. Well, we got the news from Hayes Fawcett that 4-star RB Anthony Rogers has decided to go with OSU over Georgia.

Does this make sense? Not really. Will this help out the Buckeyes? Yeah. The No.9 RB in the 2025 class will be an amazing addition to the roster, and if Day does manage to retain his job, then he is going to be happy with the run game.
