Could Julian Lewis be the next big flip in college football, leaving USC for Colorado?

Remember the last time Boulder named a burger in Julian Lewis’ honor? Maybe this time they have taken note of the detailed menu of the favorite food joints. Looks like their JuJu mission is still on.  Nine weeks into the 2024 kick-off, Deion Sanders and Colorado Buffaloes have seen it all. Yet when it comes to hosting their favorite Lewis, the Buffs are often ready no matter what. The Carrollton High School QB will be setting his foot in Boulder this weekend. While Deion and Co. is on the verge of throwing a gala party, fans are already pouring in with their conspiracy theories.

The last time Lewis visited Deion’s army was back in June this year. Four months later, he will be again flying off to Boulder on Saturday, October 26. The place must have something special. Otherwise, why would the 5-star QB prospect who is already committed to Lincoln Riley’s USC Trojans take so frequent visits? Or maybe it’s because Deion is too hard to resist. And already, Lewis has got the job half done by wooing Coach Prime. A day before, on Friday, October 25, Rivals.com posted a thread about Lewis’ Colorado visit with an intriguing caption, “PERFECT TIMING? 👀⌚️”

Well, we don’t know that yet. But the first slide denotes something is cooking. It contained that famous snap with Lewis seated on the Colorado throne, donning the Buffs jersey, asking for the keys from Shedeur who is dressed in a hoodie. Being a core Buffs fan it won’t be difficult for you to decode the action, right? Passing the keys here represented the act of passing the baton. As most of the fans speculated, since Shedeur would be bidding farewell to college football soon, Lewis would be filling his place.

But don’t you think if Lewis had to commit to Deion and Colorado he would have done that in the very first or second visit? Well, October 26 would mark his fourth, yes you read that right, FOURTH visit to the Buffs camp. Now fans couldn’t wait to pour in their predictions.

Buffs fans hopes and fear soar ahead of Julian Lewis’ weekend in Colorado

The last time when Lewis was around, he seemed to be quite pleased with the visit and stated, “It was a cool weekend.” Since Deion and the Buffs already have created a strong ground in getting his commitment, a hopeful fan commented, “Buffs win HE IN 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥”

What’s your perspective on:

Could Julian Lewis be the next big flip in college football, leaving USC for Colorado?

Have an interesting take?

As the Buffs army is highly dependent on QB Shedeur, who would soon be away, only the USC QB commit could be trusted in Shedeur’s absence. But why so? After all, Lewis, who initially happened to be in the class of 2026, worked his way up and moved into the 2025 recruiting class after throwing 352 yards and five touchdowns. That being said, a fan commented, “We need him 🔥”

But now that Lewis is already known as a pro in playing mind games with teams and coaches, an avid Buffs fan wants his program to stay away from him, “We don’t want JuJu.” Even after receiving a red carpet treatment from Deion’s squad, Lewis posted about himself wearing an Indiana Hoosiers jersey and holding an Auburn University football. That makes a fan jump to the conclusion, “He’s going to FLIP!!”

For a fan, a GIF of a person flipping pancakes was enough to hint that Lewis belongs to no particular team and rather prefers jumping from one to another. But isn’t taking up Shedeur Sanders’ position who also is the leader of the NIL chart too irresistible for Julian Lewis? Let’s see what his Boulder visit comes up with this time.
