College football national signing day has gone crazy for the SEC. No other conference had this much hold over the recruits like SEC for the past few years. While we have been keeping a keen eye on what’s happening around the talents’ visit and their reactions and decisions regarding the programs, the national signing day came off as a key juncture where the teams officially enrolled into their 2025-26 roster. Early national signing day has been on a roll since Wednesday, and most of the high-flying prospects have already turned their heads, choosing their home for another one or two seasons. However, there are a few left on the list who are still considering their options before making a final call. Defensive lineman Justus Terry makes a name among them. He narrowed down his searches to Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida State, but a recent intel shows a massive green light to Kirby Smart over others.
The 10th-best player in the country showed his back to the Bulldogs back in March and then committed to USC but would later decommit from the Trojans as well for some significant intricacy, throwing himself on the recruitment front again. Meanwhile, Auburn and Texas chimed in the race to land the blue-chip prospect for a better 2025. On3‘s Josh Newberg noted, ‘‘We got to wait for the five-star defensive lineman from Georgia. Plan has been for a while for him to announce Friday at noon Eastern, so we got to hang on about 24 more hours. Georgia, the longtime favorite here, remembers he did commit to the USC Trojans back in March and reopen things. Auburn is working hard. Texas is working hard, but UG, the favorite here, heading into his decision on Friday.”

Georgia has been given a massive 96.8 per cent odds of restocking their in-state talent, whereas another strong contender, Auburn, has given 1.2 per cent hope against the flow. So, it would be no surprise if we get a headline tomorrow noting Georgia takes the star defensive lineman Justus Terry after a temporary diversion. But on the flip, The Tigers can stun the world, nailing through their slim path to signing the Manchester high school alumna with a strong final push.
Despite being a predictive surprise, Terry’s Georgia recommitment will mean a lot for the Bulldogs and they seem to aggressively go for it. But the athlete pushed a break.

The entire nation looked at Terry to choose his 2025 school after he went a lot of back and forth over the past few years. Wednesday was a huge chance for us to get to know which program gets their luck with the top defensive weapon, but Terry was seemingly not ready to come to a lock decision till then. Taking to his decision, the kid lets the world know he no longer allows the schools to approach before Friday, when he officially reveals his choice for once and all.
You may see it as frustrating, but if you’re a Georgia fan, you have an ace in the hole to celebrate. ”The feeling has been Terry’s delay was because he wanted to have a big ceremony in his hometown to announce his decision as the Bulldogs look good here,” analyst Gorney said.
Although it is a hypothesis, the Dawgs have other solid grounds on which to hang on to the hope. The five-star prospect previously noted how fiercely the Bulldogs coach wants him to come and make an immediate impact. While his family still has a role to play in his decision, he isn’t likely to disappoint them on Friday.
