Okay, so, Wolverines. Somehow, Sherrone Moore and Co. stood their ground and secured their bowl eligibility this year. While you can say that going from a national championship to a bowl is quite the downfall, you also gotta keep in mind that they don’t have Jim Harbaugh or Conner Stallions. With the shade aside, Sherrone Moore and Co. did manage to impress the fans against Northwestern Wildcats. This was pretty much the first 50-pointer game for the Wolverines and Moore and in all honestly, the Michigan offense was on point. While Davis Warren was subpar again, RB Kalel Mullings was a beast.
But here is the thing, though. Just one good game doesn’t mean the offense and Kirk Campbell‘s play calling is good. Back on Maize Mad Man, RB Micah Ka’apana‘s father called out Campbell and his poor play calling, and Moore once again did not pay attention to it. “I, I know if the roles were reversed, I will I personally would have stepped in if I were him and just said, hey, let’s not run that and let me stand with Campbell and ask him what he would call,” Keoki Ka’apana mentioned. See, the Michigan offense being a disaster is not something new. This entire season, the offense has held an average of below 30 points in almost every single game.
This, paired with the fact that the Wolverines will be going up against Ohio State next, is not a good outlook for Moore. See, Ryan Day and Co. are on a roll. Ranked 2 on the CFP list, they have managed to blow almost everyone out of the water. After that Hoosiers game, Day and his $21 million roster have secured themselves as one of the best out there. See, it is given that Moore ain’t making it out of that game with a win. If they even manage to go 15 points or something, that is a big deal in itself.

But it is kind of funny that they are struggling this bad offensively. It is not even like they don’t have good players on there. They got Will Johnson, Andrew Gentry, Mullings, and more. It ain’t no wonder why TJ from Michigan at The Voice of College Football pointed out that Campbell has to go if Moore has any plans to make a comeback next season.
Wolverines have averaged around 299 yards this season? This is lower than most unranked teams out there. See, 2024 just wasn’t the year. The NCAA drama, the QB issues, and the overall lack of presence from the offense and defense. All of this added up to create the 6-5 disaster run we are looking at right now. Which is soon going to turn into 6-6. However, next year there is some hope.

The Wolverines recruitment game running strong
Okay so, the first big splash Moore and his recruiting staff managed to create was when they flipped Shamari Earls from Georgia. See, Sam Webb from The Michigan Insider had pointed out that Kirby Smart and Co. tried everything they could to keep Earls, but it just wasn’t meant to be. With the 4-star CB in, this is just the start.

Is Michigan's recruitment success enough to overcome their current offensive woes next season?

The magnum opus or the creme of the crop was flipping the No.1 QB in the entire 2025 class: Bryce Underwood. Yes, yes, we know Michigan put around $10.5 million on the table, but that does not take away the fact that they managed to flip Underwood from LSU.

This dude is the one-stop solution to Moore and the QB problems he faced with Alex Orji or Warren. And as Donovan Dooley pointed out, “He has what we call pocket courage.” The way Underwood uses those legs and does not waver inside the pocket, it’s pure magic. Let’s hope the Wolverines can change the tides in 2025.
