It’s fight night and the Buffaloes have sharpened their horns to face off against the Knights in shining armor. With Deion Sanders’ team sitting on such brilliant momentum, they will be hoping to gain a win in UCF’s home stadium today as well. The Colorado Buffaloes seem to do well when being surrounded by their rivals or a hoard of negative opinions since it fuels the players better. It looks to be the same situation in FBC Mortgage Stadium, where the Knights’ fans have arrived in abundance, which will hopefully secure the Buffs’ chances of a win more on 29th September.
The stage is set for the showdown between the Buffaloes and the Knights and it looks like the huge crowd is all the more excited. With tensions high among both the fandoms, the turnout at the Bright House Networks stadium is the biggest in the history of the program. The two teams will battle it out for the better spot in the Big 12 conference in this war of the giants. Though the fans in attendance are all coming from the UCF fandom, the popular opinion on social media is that it is a consequence of Coach Prime’s popularity.

One fan wrote, “They’re all there for Deion,” implying that the crowd wouldn’t be as big if Deion wasn’t the very face of the Colorado Buffaloes. The Buffaloes stand at a 3-1 record, while the University of Central Florida’s team is faring better with a 3-0 record. Yet, the UCF fans seem to believe that they’ll have a cakewalk over the might of Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, and the power-packing Buffaloes’ team overall. The celebrations are at an all-time high, with the Knights’ fans seemingly being more enthusiastic. With that being said, here’s a compilation of the other fans who also believe that the UCF fever is a direct consequence of the Coach Prime effect.
The fans put Deion’s influence over the following of UCF
Ever since Deion came to Boulder in 2023, he became the prime entity by which the program started getting recognized. Now, a year into his coaching career with the Buffs, he’s still receiving the same attention, only this time, the rivals are more prone to come out in large numbers to fizzle out the hype behind the legendary NFL Hall of Famer. These are the feelings that the fans had to echo as they claimed that the massive turnout wouldn’t have occurred if it wasn’t for Deion at the reins of it all.

Lastly, this UCF fan crossed their fingers and prayed that the team won against CU since all the trash-talking would just lead to embarrassment for the team. The comment said, “Ugh… Please just win this is going to be a bad look if we lose right now 🙏”
Thus, the Colorado Buffaloes are walking into enemy territories today but it isn’t something they’re not familiar with. Win or loss, the fans get to sit with the assumption that the fans only came out to support UCF due to his influence.
