Is Deion Sanders too harsh on his son, or is tough love necessary for success?

“I thought he played horrible,” said Deion Sanders on Shilo’s performances after they lost to Kansas State on 12th September. The Buffs’ safety was sidelined due to injury since a game against Nebraska in early September. The head coach was not happy with Shilo’s performance, and he did not hold back from criticizing his son. For him, it is very clear that performance on the field must meet expectations.

Shilo Sanders returned to the field last week after missing three games because of a broken forearm. According to him, his performance against Kansas State was the worst game of his life. However, this week’s story is different. Safety’s performance against Arizona showed a significant improvement. He took his father’s opinions seriously and made four solid tackles, which limited the Wildcats to just 245 yards of total offense. However, after Coach Prime criticized his son publicly, Pilar Sanders, Shilo’s ex-wife, stepped in to manage the situation.

She shared Shilo’s video on Instagram, where he asked fans if they had switched up with him last week. Encouraging him, she wrote, “Yep, keep that same energy! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💯💯💯💯” Not only that, she also shared highlights from his performance last night. Pilar’s post highlights the importance of family support during difficult times in sports. Football is very close to the entire family, and they are often in the headlines. Sometimes, it’s for positive reasons, while other times, it may be due to poor performance. Regardless of the circumstances, what truly matters is the support and love they share for one another. This strong bond helps Deion Sanders’ family navigate both the highs and lows of their public lives.

Shilo’s performance was very important in the Buffaloes’ convincing victory. How do you recover from a bad game? Go back and watch the film; everything’s out there- the good, the bad, and the ugly. That’s what Shilo did.

“Everybody goes through ups and downs,” Shilo said. “It was better for me to go through a down. It made me lock in, watch all my film and prepare to the highest level.” And we didn’t just get an improve Shilo performance; we also got an Arizona thumping, who had even former POTUS, Barack Obama, rooting for them and against Coach Prime. How did that happen? Let’s guide you through it.

Deion Sanders’ Buffaloes jump ahead early to dominate Arizona

If we look closely, the Buffs lost against Nebraska and Kansas State because of their slow starts. Keeping that in mind, Coach Prime stressed the need for a strong start against Arizona. The Buffaloes have won three Big 12 games so far. Yesterday, they jumped out to an early lead with two quick touchdowns. This time, Deion Sanders and his squad stepped into the field with a clear vision to win.

Shedeur Sanders has consistently stepped up for the Colorado Buffaloes during critical moments this season. He did the same last night. He threw two touchdowns and ran for the third one. He also completed 23 out of 33 passes but with two interceptions. With his help, the Buffs covered 8 of 11 third downs. Not only that, they also took a 21-point lead by halftime. We are sure you want to see more performances like this. Such was the performance that we saw a rare thing- QB2 replacing Shedeur to finish the game.

After the victory, Deion Sanders shed light on their progress and mentioned, “We’re in good shape and we always play well in the second half, but it was imperative to get off to a tremendous start in the first half,” he added. “That’s what we focused on.”

Moving forward, Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes would love to maintain their momentum as they prepare to face Cincinnati next weekend. What are your thoughts on their recent performance? Let us know in the comment box below.
