While the fans must be too busy rooting for their favorite teams now that the 2024 season is at its peak, somewhere out there are thousands of people robbed of the basic amenities. Going by the numbers, Hurricane Helene left 150 people dead. While some were fortunate to survive, they have been facing the challenge to get food and water.

Here entered ex-Colorado Buffaloes QB with his passionate call to action, he urged the community to lend a hand to those struggling in dire conditions. Is this the athlete’s way of turning how the CFB fans perceive him? Well, he was the one who got into an ugly scuffle with Shedeur Sanders.

For a change, ex-Buffs QB Gavin Kuld’s IG stories are not about his games and the various adventurous vacations he goes on. He thought this to be the right time to speak up for a cause. On October 2, the athlete re-shared the CNN post on his story that read, “Helene is the second-deadliest mainland US Hurricane in the past 50 years.” Even though the cyclone could not cause enough rage as Katrina, it did leave, thousands suffering the aftermath. Kuld captioned the story as “Heartbreaking 💔.”

But that’s not it. Instead, he thought of doing something that would come to help the people in need. To reiterate the survivors’ toil, Kuld mentioned a piece of disturbing news, “Over heard there’s places charging 48$ for a case of water like what.”

The QB is now willing to go to any extent to help the survivors and has already chalked out a plan of action, “Will create a platform soon to truthfully help the community…Will have a go fund nc up soon to put the money where it’s needed.” Who would’ve thought Guld could go from making headlines for chaos to dedicating himself to a charitable mission? At least, not Shedeur!

How Gavin Kuld found purpose and turned the page

Back in May, when things were already heated up in Boulder, courtesy of the dramatic transfer portal, Kuld decided to further add on to the heat. While transfers like Cormani McClain tried to portray Deion Sanders in a negative light, for Kuld, Shedeur was his target. During an interview with Magdog TV, the backup QB got all brutal at Deion’s son. What better way to strip off the QB other than his NIL rankings?

“Look at Noah Fifita and what he did with all of his money. He paid for all of his walk-ons. Look at Colorado, (Sanders) has six cars and an apartment,” dropped Kuld with his harsh commentary. This definitely was not taken in good spirits by the QB. Shedeur then went on to lash Kuld on social media and dished out an open threat, “I learned sometimes you have to take the high road. @GKuld I’ll spare you only this 1 time.”

And guess what? The ex-QB did not get scared and instead came up with a sharp retort, “Bro, what high road? What are u talking about spare me lol.” No wonder, the athlete has always believed in making use of money in good cause. It feels like Gavin Kuld has finally discovered that there’s more to life than being a controversy magnet—better late than never!
