The Huskers are in a weird spot right now. Coming off of their win against Purdue, you would think that fans would be quite happy with Dylan Raiola and what he and the roster have managed to pull. However, after watching Dylan Raiola get sacked 3 times on his home turf and then going on to lose the game against Illinois, fans are quite skeptical. The question now is, will Dylan Raiola manage to bring back the same glory the Huskers created when they won against the Buffs?
To find that out, you gotta attend the game first. And that is why Raiola took to his Instagram story to rally up the Huskers fans before the Scarlet Knights game. Raiola shared the latest poster of the Huskers vs Rutgers game on his story. See, we understand. No one likes to watch their favorite team lose this badly. The entire game against Illinois felt like karma coming back to bite Matt Rhule.

When the Huskers went up against Deion Sanders and Co., Rhule and Raiola managed to easily exploit the leaky offensive line of the Buffs and grab a massive win after sacking Shedeur Sanders 5 times. However, it looks like Rhule did not do his homework when his team went up against Illini.
From what we saw, it’s safe to say that Nebraska had one of the most disastrous overtime possessions in the offense. The O-line failed to give their QB enough support, and there was little to no pressure (just like the Buffs O-line during the Huskers rivalry game). Heck, if you look at the Purdue game as well, the offense didn’t even make it to the scoreboard in the first half.
It was in the 3rd quarter when the team finally picked up pace. Standing on a 4-1 run, the Huskers cannot allow another compromise. However, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights won’t make it easy either.

A whole decade. That’s how long it took for the Knights’ offense to become any good. After Kirk Ciarrocca took over as the offensive coordinator for Rutgers, the team has seen massive improvements in terms of possessions and overall pressure.
With QB Athan Kaliakmanis at the helm, the Scarlet Knights are ready to make history during their Big 10 game. From what we have seen so far, the Huskers’ offensive has been on a downward spiral. With the bye week approaching, this would be the perfect time for Rhule to get back the reins.

Keep in mind that this is going to be a massive fight between the defense and the offense. If the Huskers’ offense is falling behind, their No. 14-ranked defense can keep the spirit alive. And if the Rutgers defense is falling behind, their No.12 ranked offense can keep the boat afloat. Let us know who you think would come out on top during this showdown.
