Oh, how the mighty have fallen. While everyone on the board is slowly improving, Matt Rhule and the Huskers are slowly degrading. It’s kind of wild to see a team that had such a strong start in the season fumble back-to-back games. You might think that it is a Matt Rhule problem, but the issue lies elsewhere. Yes, we are talking about the kid cosplaying Patrick Mahomes. Give it up, you ain’t that guy Dylan Raiola.
152 yards with 21 out of 32 pass completions and 1 interception. That is it. The worst part is that the Huskers almost had it in the bag as well. Back in the 4th quarter, Matt Rhule and Co. had a 17-14 lead over Buckeyes. He-k, the entire rushing game of the team, was on point. Covering 121 rushing yards as compared to the Buckeyes who only managed 64. All Raiola had to do was focus on the lead and get the W, but nope. “Freshman QBs gonna freshman. Dylan Raiola throws a terrible pick to end the threat,” Mark Schipper – 5th Down CFB mentioned on X. The entire game has managed to send the fans into a frenzy, and it is understandable why.

Last week, when the Huskers went up against Indiana, it seemed like an easy game for Rhule and Raiola. But what happened? The Cornhuskers probably had one of their worst games of the season against the Hoosiers.
56-7? Being one of the top defensive teams in the country and this was the performance? He-k, if we even talk about the offensive line, that was a mess, too. Raiola only landed 26 out of 44 passes during that game. The rushing yards were abysmal at 70 only, and the pass game was halted at 234 yards.

2 sacks against the Hoosiers and 3 sacks against the Buckeyes. Boy, if you go and check Raiola’s completion rate, this dude has not even managed to crack 70% in any single game. This is wild. Yes, we get it. You want to be Patrick Mahomes so bad, but come on. It looks like it is time Matt Rhule rethinks his decision and maybe switches up his QB room because the fans do NOT want Raiola back on that turf.
Patrick Mahomes wannabe

“Dylan Raiola is the cringiest dude in the history of college football,” was what one fan pointed out on X after the Huskers’ loss to the Buckeyes. Yeah, at this point, Raiola needs to give up the Mahomes act and find his own identity. Following this, another fan pointed out, “Dylan Raiola has gotten worse every single week. And that’s alarming.” This is true. After the win against the Scarlet Knights, Rhule and his offense have been in a steady decline.

We mean, come on, did you ever think that a team like Hoosiers would mop the floor with Nebraska? One fan mentioned, “Dylan Raiola ain’t it. Nebraska needs a QB.” Relying too much on a true freshman has finally come back to bite Rhule. Finally, a fan mentioned, “I’ve seen Dylan Raiola lose every single game Nebraska has a chance to win this guy is #veryraw (bad).” Is there a way to salvage this? Maybe. What Rhule needs to do now is return to the drawing board. With every game, the Huskers have slowly lost their identity. This ain’t the same team that had the majestic 40-7 run against UTEP and 28-10 domination against the Buffs.
