Is Shilo Sanders being unfairly criticized, or does he need to step up his game?

After a continuous banger in the season, Coach Prime received a blow in a tumultuous week 7 as Kansas State’s wild touchdown smashed their chance of another Big 10 win amidst the breezy air around Folson Field. More than one mistake built up for a frustrating 31-28 beat-down. The list is endless, including injuries affecting the receiving core, a lackluster defense against K-State’s tremendous rushing game, and CU’s bad move on the opponent’s go-ahead touchdown. However, Shilo Sanders’ not-up-to-the-mark performance is the one to receive the most heat. A popular college football analyst continues throwing shades at him after coach Deion Sanders showed zero mercy to his son in post-game interviews.

Shilo Sanders added to the callousness of a short-lived offense that sparkled for a while, scoring 14 points and taking a 28-14 lead in the early half. CU couldn’t get the ground game going while Shilo Sanders moved out from his position to attempt a play. Wildcats Running Back DJ Giddens instantly put him down on his knees through a ferocious Juke move. It was certainly not the day of the 24-year-old Buff phenom. Rubbing salt to his wounds, Colorado Alum, Matt McChesney noted,  ”That is a fact of life they don’t give a f__k whose kid You are they don’t give a f__k and there’s no dad on earth like look my kid’s an okay player for a freshman he travels with the freshman team he gets to play, he’s doing a good job but is he the best player on the Field and, like, can do. I think he’s ready to go hold up against the nose tackle from Cherry Creek that has 30 offers, no that would be a Slaughter. It would be like sacrificing a lamb to a lion,”

It’s pertinent to note that Shilo Sanders didn’t only have a bad match, rather he has been living a bad season. He was forced to miss the last three games due to an injury horror, not contributing to the Buffs’ winning streak. His last week’s performance was just the stretch of his unfavorable fate. Father cum coach, Deion Sanders, didn’t sugarcoat his feelings when the media asked about his take on this.

Deion Sanders, 56, reached multiple milestones in his career. But nothing matches his principal as a father. He beautifully kept aside his fatherly affection while judging and training his sons on the field. When Shedeur Sanders stunned the world with his banger drops in the season, Coach Prime saw it as objectively as he could. He pointed out some faults to keep his son grounded. There’s no different rule for the other child, Shilo Sanders. After his Saturday’s blunder, Deion Sanders straightaway admitted that he played a horrible game. But he said it optimistically, leaving space for the young star’s further improvement.

On the top, Shilo’s older brother quickly jumped on to cover up the upset. Deion Sanders Jr posted a photo wearing Shilo’s No. 21 Jersey.

”The rejected will be respected. It’s nothing to turn a nonbeliever into a believer. ‘I have told you now before it happens so that when it does happen, you will believe.”, the big brother wrote in the caption in an attempt to help Shilo chin up.
