Deion Sanders wasn’t so crazy, you know. Recall that on October 3, Deion Sanders claimed that the Dolphins would be the ideal choice for Shedeur Sanders based on their roster, expressing his wish for the 2025 NFL Draft pick. Shedeur is unquestionably one of the top prospects in the 2025 Draft with 2,268 yards and 19 TDs while finishing 72.2 percent of throw attempts. This time, however, Deion can block two teams, demonstrating his continued interference with Shedeur’s NFL prospects, as per an ex-NFLer. Yes, blocking!
In regards to Deion Sanders and his son, Dan Orlovsky, a former NFL quarterback who is now an ESPN host, made a significant assertion this week. Shedeur was selected No. 2 overall by the Cleveland Browns in a mock draft by The 33rd Team, to which Orlovsky responded that Deion would never allow Shedeur to go to either Cleveland or Carolina. “There is a 0% chance Deion let’s Shedeur get drafted by Cleveland. Cleveland/Carolina will not happen,” Dan wrote on X.

Why, though, does Coach Prime block? Given their track record of poor QB development and play, Orlovsky is probably cutting out the Panthers and Browns. The two programs that need a quarterback the most are the Browns, who have struggled with starter Deshaun Watson’s terrible play and subsequent season-ending injury, and the Panthers, who have won two Super Bowls in their brief existence with Delhomme and Cam Newton.
As per Orlovsky’s prediction, Deion is making every effort to have his voice heard regarding Shedeur’s NFL future, even though he may not ultimately have a genuine say in where his son ends up. Earlier this year, Deion stated that he hoped Shedeur would wind up in a warm climate. “I know where I want him to go,” said Coach Prime. Moreover, he declared that if Shedeur were to join a less attractive squad, he would pull an Eli Manning kind of move. “So, it’s certain cities that ain’t gonna happen. It’s gonna be an Eli“. This was the actual statement of Coach Prime.

But if you’re not aware, Shedeur is not the only one who is the top pick in the NFL draft. So, along with Shedeur, which players are in the running?

Is Shedeur Sanders’s NFL future in threat?
Last season, Shedeur Sanders was the most fired QB, and the Buffs finished 4-8. The offensive line can be held accountable for this. They didn’t do much the previous year, but this time, they’re in a favorable position. Along with the offensive line, Shedeur also is in best shape this season.

It has been widely considered that Shedeur performs best on the turf when accompanied by Travis Hunter or Jimmy Horn Jr. But what happens to Shedeur when the Buffs lose both of their top wide receivers? He gains more than 380 yards and scores three touchdowns. You see, if you claim that Shedeur’s true quarterbacking ability wasn’t flawlessly displayed during the Wildcats game, you’re lying to yourself. He was alone. The offense was struggling once more, and there were numerous major injuries plaguing the wide receiver depth. Even still, this individual was able to stay and have an influence right up until the very end. Given that remarkable performance, Shedeur’s No.2 rank in the recent mock draft is quite reasonable.
But this season, Shedeur is not alone who demonstrates his prowess. Cam Ward is next to him, he is ranked No.3 as per The 33rd Team. When the Bears were able to slow down the team, Cam Ward’s game-winning score helped them prevail. Returning to the Virginia Tech matchup, Ward was able to make things better. The Miami was stuck on 31–34. The unbeaten streak seemed to be coming to an end. However, Miami was able to turn the tide of the game with Ward’s last touchdown at 1:57. Based on their performances this season, is there a possibility for Cam to outperform Shedeur? The season is not ended yet so it can’t be predicted.
