Shelomi vs. Deiondra: Who's justified in their feelings about Deion Sanders' controversial U-turn?

Just when Deion Sanders thought that he would celebrate after the massive win against Baylor Bears, his daughter Shelomi entered the chat. The basketball phenom was present in person to root for the Buffs. While Deion thought that the ice finally melted between the father-daughter, Shelomi decided to come up with the best reply for Daddy Prime. Why wouldn’t she?

After Shelomi ditched the Buffs for Alabama, things took an ugly turn for the 20-year-old basketball guard. Deion even went to an extent flipping sides between his two daughters, Shelomi and Deiondra, which still seems to nudge Shelomi.

On September 22, Shelomi graced the Folsom Field with her presence while donning a white colored t-shirt with Deion’s picture printed on it. This was enough hints for the fans that the father-daughter duo have worked out their difference and have come together. But wait! The back of Shelomi’s t-shirt had something interesting to tell. Posting on her Instagram story, the now Alabama A&M Bulldogs women’s basketball commit wrote, “It’s on the shirt I don’t make the rules.”

Well, the back of her t-shirt read “Kid Rankings” in which Shelomi is at No.1 and a line struck through the rest rankings signifying that her siblings and half-siblings do not even stand a chance. What made Shelomi Sanders resort to sly moves to arrive with the ultimate comeback for Papa Prime?

Maybe she is too confused with Deion’s moves. Right after Shelomi flew to Boulder from Alabama, the first thing she did was rush to her father and show him the t-shirt with the No.1 Ranking and her name on it. To which Coach Prime said, “My daughter showed me her shirt last night…she thinks she is the no. 1 seed right now; I love it, and the kids know.” While Deion called to attention how Shelomi is the best among his kids five kids, it did not take him long to flip sides. On the very next day, he came up with an IG post with Shelomi’s picture from the game day with the caption, “@shelomisanders thinks she’s #1 in my kids Rankings. I Love u baby but you’re NOT #1 right now your sister @deiondrasanders is because she just had her Lil Baby.” But Shelomi has already gotten used to such snubs from her father who attacked her tagging her decision as “stupid.”

Shelomi vs. Deiondra: Who's justified in their feelings about Deion Sanders' controversial U-turn?

Have an interesting take?

Back in April this year, Shelomi finally decided to come out of her father’s shadow and swapped teams from CU Buffs to Alabama A&M. When the Buffs HC was approached about his thoughts on his younger daughter’s move, he came up with a brutal remark and stated, “Yeah which was stupid.” But he did not just let his bold claim hang in the air and even shared what made him feel so.

The crux is that Deion took offense at the fact that Shelomi decided to cut ties with CU without even consulting with her father. “Where I come from a historically kids follow their parents..when do parents start following the kids? That don’t work in my book,” shared Coach Prime in his podcast. If you think that was the end of the Deion-Shelomi Cold War, then hold on a bit tighter.

Two months after Shelomi Sanders’ commitment to Alabama A&M, on one occasion Deion Sanders was spotted with his sons while his daughters were absent. Coach Prime then asked, “You have three-four kids right now…who’s going to be the first one of y’all kids?” The Sanders boys were sure that he would pick Deiondra, to which the father too sweetly obliged. Well, it looks like the fifth kid didn’t make the cut here.
