Another day, another random graphic ft. Deion Sanders in a league outfit. This is getting absurd. “Am I crazy for thinking Deion would be a great fit for the Cowboys?” coming from Jason Whitlock, this is a big praise. See, with Colorado losing its best to the draft, a question arises: Is Deion Sanders sticking with the Buffs or running to the NFL? With people like Whitlock and even Paul Finebaum pushing for the $11 billion dynasty revamp, it ain’t that hard to grasp why edited images of Coach Prime with the Dallas t-shirt on sell like hotcakes on a cold Christmas Eve. But is it something the fans even want?

“Looks like there is a PRIME coaching opportunity in Dallas…could it be PERFECT TIMING?” YahooSports wrote in the caption of their latest Instagram post. We all know this was done to generate some random hype after HC Mike McCarthy was thrown overboard because of the disastrous season. However, Cowboys fans didn’t exactly appreciate it. See, Deion’s pairing with Dallas had a bit of gravity back in 2024. Jerry Jones and his billion-dollar empire were projected to get the first pick or even the 3rd pick on the draft order, but things didn’t exactly go as planned…

… On the latest draft projection list, Dallas is going 12th, and that pretty much means the Giants have Shedeur Sanders in a lock. This throws the entire idea for the Deion x Shedeur pairing for the Cowboys straight out the window. But that ain’t all.

See, if Jones wants Shedeur, he has to trade up for him. Now this comes with a catch as well. Dak Prescott and his $200+ million deal have become baggage for the dynasty. More so because this season was a stinker. Who in their right mind would even want Dak and his contract, right? On top of that, getting Coach Prime won’t be easy as well.

“One of his biggest concerns coming in the league is what if you get the wrong kind of quarterback?” was something Marvin Harrison Sr. had pointed out. There is no way Coach Prime is going to work with Dak. He would want Shedeur on the squad, but we already explained why that cannot even happen in the first place. So what are we left with now? Another media outlet pumping out Deion x Shedeur edits for clout? The fans think so.

No Cowboys dynasty for the Sanders

What’s your perspective on:

Is Deion Sanders the savior the Cowboys need, or just another media hype machine?

Have an interesting take?

“Keep plugging Deion in every available HC job; one will fit,” a fan pointed out. Yeah, this is getting out of hand. Who knows, tomorrow we might end up seeing a Deion x Chiefs edit? But jokes aside, as much as the pairing sounds appealing, it just won’t happen. Coach Prime is not leaving Colorado anytime soon. With Julian Lewis and Kaidon Salter both in, Deion had found some fresh blood and who would want to sacrifice that?

On the same note, another fan mentioned, “Stop with the clickbait. He’s not going to coach any NFL teams.” Now, not all of the comments were this “nice”. “Can’t recruit in NFL off of your name, you actually gotta coach..so good luck,” a fan wrote. Calling Deion a bad coach feels wrong after the 2024 run.

Colorado went from a 1-11 team to 9 win machine. Yeah, they couldn’t win Alamo, but they still got a Heisman in the camp and a potential Top 3 draft pick QB. The offensive line still remains a problem and Coach Prime better figure that out. Other than this, we don’t think any other Buffs fan is going to complain about his coaching.

“Jerry Jones def ain’t hiring a black coach,” another man mentioned. Well, this took a terrible turn. Listen, if Jones even cares about his dynasty and wants to save it, Deion could’ve been the perfect pick. But getting both him and Shedeur? Yeah, that ain’t happening anytime soon.
