Is Deion Sanders right to defend his father-son bond, or are critics raising valid concerns?

The only question that Colorado Buffaloes HC Deion Sanders have is, ‘Don’t the haters get tired?’ We can feel him. Every single day brings in something or the other. This time again the haters came up with a sly move targeting the father-son healthy bond over a sideline exchange that came off as a “heated exchange.” But uh-uh! The haters’ tribe better keep themselves under limit because Deion Sanders in no way is going to allow anyone to plague his relationship with his son.

But no matter how hard Coach Prime tries to protect Shedeur on social media, is he actually living up to his role as a protector? Well, analyst Skip Bayless still has some doubts about that!

The Buffs haters are always on high alert waiting for Deion and Co. to make a mistake. This time they had been really lucky since Coach Prime himself served them enough scoop to take it to X and spread rumors. But is Deion at all bothered? Well, to some extent as he justifies his actions later on with his tweet, “My brother we don’t have heated exchanges. There’s a level of respect the player & the son never crosses. This is good ole football & coaching. Good try tho.” But what’s the hoopla all about?

The original tweet that stirred Deion used the video where Coach Prime being the protective father is not happy with Buffs QB Shedeur’s performance as he holds the pigskin for too long. Frustrated at his son’s wrong moves on the gridiron, he ended up shouting at Shedeur, “Grown. Throw the Ba-l Away.” And this casual chat was soon misinterpreted as a serious disagreement. The caption read, “A Heated Exchange. Coach Prime wasn’t happy with #2 holding onto the ba-l, resulting in a sack.” No matter how hard Deion tries to pretend that everything is cool, analyst Bayless in no way believes that Coach Prime is doing enough.

Skip Bayless points a finger at Deion Sanders while backing Shedeur

Is Deion Sanders right to defend his father-son bond, or are critics raising valid concerns?

Have an interesting take?

The Undisputed host is all about Shedeur Sanders. Even though Colorado got pounded hard by Kansas State and came with a 31-28 loss, Bayless still had only good words for the Buffs QB. But that’s surely not the case with Deion. After the Kansas mishap, the analyst on his podcast did not even mince his words while blaming Coach Prime for the defeat. “I thought he’d have better protection…his father wasn’t able to beef up the talent around him to quite the level I expected,” claimed Bayless.

Deion is always about big promises when it comes to keeping Shedeur out of harm’s way. Right from the onset of the 2024 season, he had only one thing playing in his mind: strengthen the O-line. Last time because of the ailing O-line, Shedeur ended up getting sacked 52 TIMES!

Well, Deion Sanders’ plan to keep his ‘often-hit’ QB son safe might not be working out so well. Shedeur Sanders is already taking a beating after the Kansas loss and has been snubbed from the Heisman Trophy odds list by CBS Sports analyst Danny Kanell. Looks like the Buffs’ season is now full of twists and unknowns.
