Is Shilo Sanders' playtime a result of talent or just his father's influence?

Deion Sanders is cooking something that smells really fishy. The Nebraska game not only totally destroyed the Buffs but also cost Deion Sanders one of his most valuable soldiers, Shilo Sanders. However, Coach Prime revealed his game plans for the Kansas State match, saying that Shilo is fully committed while Carter has excelled and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. Even so, following a lengthy hiatus, Coach Prime may incur costs again by selecting Shilo as the starting safety.

After missing Colorado’s first three games due to an injury, Shilo Sanders made a comeback for the match on Saturday. But Colorado’s effort was not good enough to keep the league’s best team, Kansas State, from defeating them 31–28. Furthermore, in the second half, Shilo masterminded an incredible pass-only drive that cut Kansas State’s lead to just one point. Although it appears that his comeback to the team is not very significant. When asked about his son’s performance during the post-game conference, even Colorado’s head coach responded, “I thought he played horrible.”

Fans, however, became enraged when Coach Prime chose Shilo as the starting safety in the do-or-die game against Kansas State. And Shilo sustained yet another knee injury as a result of Kansas State running back DJ Giddens’ forceful tackle of him. It seems like he was given the opportunity not because of his skill but more because his father is the program’s coach. Fans became even more incensed upon realizing it, and many of them resort to Twitter to voice their displeasure at Coach Prime’s prejudice.

Fans’ reaction to Deion Sanders’ favor to Shilo Sanders

Deion described Shilo’s performance as ‘horrible’ during the post-game press conference, but this did not calm down the fans. One of them remarked, “This is easy for Deion to say postgame, but if he saw Shilo sanders playing like crap, why was he still in the game in the 4th quarter when Colorado needed 1 stop to win the game?” A different supporter said, “I’ve never played safety in my life and I can promise you I’m better than Shilo Sanders.”

In addition, supporters found it hilarious that Shilo had another injury while making a tackle against Kansas, with one fan joking, “There won’t be any party in the locker room tonight.” Furthermore, he commented, “How is Shilo Sanders, a sixth-year senior, still unable to execute a tackle correctly?” Likewise, a separate fan sarcastically said, “Shilo Sanders was rocked to his knees! Deion Sanders must stop using Colorado’s resources to play fatherly games.” The supporters’ rage doesn’t stop here, though.

Fans believe Colorado has far better players than Shilo and that is why a fan remarked, “I wish he didn’t play tonight! This wasn’t his night. He had a lot of miss tackles and assignments. Please put the other person back in.” Along with that, another fan expressed his frustration, saying, “If Shilo Sanders was still hurt (or on the bench the entire game), Colorado wins and keeps a miracle season alive.” Fans seem to be quite unhappy with Shilo’s opportunity because of his dubious talent. There’s still the matter of whether fans will truly believe that Shilo lacks talent. What do you think?
