Can Deion Sanders rally Colorado to overcome adversity after Jace Feely's devastating ACL injury?

The Colorado Buffaloes have won back-to-back three games. Last Saturday, they defeated UCF by 48-21. While most doubted their comeback after their second week’s defeat over Nebraska, Coach Prime and his squad gave them answers with their back-to-back nail-biting games. However, the Buffs started this year with early-season challenges because of injuries. Their running back Dallan Hayden, defensive tackle Chidozie Nwankwo, and safety Shilo Sanders did not play their last game against UCF. Sander’s got one more shocking news regarding kicker Jace Feely following their victory over Baylor.

Jace Freely has been hospitalized because of an ACL tear, and today was his second surgery. Sanders went to meet him in the hospital; he shared an Instagram story and requested prayers from fans. “Please pray for Jace Feely,” Sanders added. “God Bless our team doctors as well.” This injury is a significant blow to the Buffaloes, who had been enjoying a strong start to their 2024 season.

Feely confirmed on social media that he has fully torn his ACL, which will sideline him for the remainder of the season. He expressed gratitude for the support he has received and maintained a positive outlook, stating, “God’s got a plan. I’m not worried. Everything is for a reason.”

Jace entered the year as the Buffaloes’ kickoff specialist and was the team’s field goal kicker for attempts longer than 50 yards, making him a crucial part of the roster. However, he underwent another surgery on Tuesday and shared how he feels about the season and highlighted that he is missing the ground; he also emphasized that he will take time to recover. “Surgery #2 with the buffs, lol, excited to get this done. Missing playing already!” Feely added, “Ended up tearing my miniscus as well, so lot longer recovery, just Gods plan for my life.” The Kicker started his college career with Arizona State; this is his second season with the Buffaloes.

Though the injuries have somewhat marred the roster for Colorado, they have put forward some amazing matchups, and it’s important we take a look at that.

Deion Sanders’ team makes a statement with another nail-biting victory

Coach Prime Time‘s team has made a comeback and how. Last week they delivered a nail-biting performance against Baylor. It’s been two weeks, and we still can’t forget his Hail Mail touchdown. This week they did the wonders again. Sanders is really fortunate to have Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders on his team. Against Baylor’s, it was Sanders who gave Buffs fans many reasons to celebrate, and last week it was the two-way star; his striking the Heisman Trophy pose was a treat to watch.

Buffs returned home and achieved the victory. They made their way back to their home state this week, successfully navigating Knights, and secured a 48-21 win against UFC on Saturday. Hunter caught nine passes for 89 yards and a touchdown while also contributing an interception on defense. Running back Isaiah Augustave added 39 yards on just four carries. LaJohntay Wester also made some significant contributions and scored on a 10-yard touchdown catch that extended the Buffaloes’ lead to 41-21 late in the third quarter.
