Deion Sanders for President? Now that would be a great day for the American masses, both football fans and otherwise. It’s evident that Deion is a leader among the people and possesses morals that could help in uniting the country, but as for now, his only aim is to seek out success in the world of college football rather than politics. What’s ironic is that Deion has been referred to as the “Donald Trump of Football” in the past, but seems to be as far away from the gridiron of the white house as possible. These coming few months are crucial for both Deion and the presidential candidates since they’ll be trying to secure a playoff spot and the throne of the U.S.A. in November, respectively.
On the 27th August episode of the ‘Outta Pocket with RGIII’ show, Deion Sanders came on to the show and discussed everything related to the upcoming season and how the team is preparing long and hard for the mighty challenge. In the midst of this, Deion was asked if he’d ever want to consider running for president and his response had everyone in stitches. While referring to the assassination attempt that occurred on Donald Trump, Deion instantly replied to the question by saying, “And get shot?”
Deion hysterically mocked his level of security and said, “They got some good security guys. We ain’t like that. We ain’t ready for that.” He further added, “I wouldn’t even run for president of the school. No, I’m good, I’m good with my life.” Thus, it doesn’t seem likely that Coach Prime has any ambitious plans as such at the moment but rather wants to focus on football solely. Deion doesn’t want to run for president anytime soon but does have a favorite candidate to run the country,
Deion would want the Rock as the President!
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is a national treasure, no doubt. From back in his days in the WWE to being a multi-millionaire actor, he’s been through a lot of phases of life. While he was an active supporter of the Biden campaign in 2020, he has been practicing radio silence now that the race is between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. The wrestler has talked about being approached by political parties in the past to run for president himself, but hasn’t officiated any sort of confirmation. However, that isn’t stopping Deion from lending out his active support of Johnson running for elections.
During an episode of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Coach Prime talked about the Rock and said, “Rock, I love you and appreciate you. You’re a great actor. You are a great inspirer. You are great at everything you do. But it’s time for you to step up to the plate and take it to the next level. I need you to run for the office. I need you to be the President of the United States of the World!” The day could not be too far when the Rock takes an oath as a potential president but that doesn’t mean that the people wouldn’t want to see Coach Prime don this sort of role either since he’s a beacon of inspiration to so many till day.
