Deion Sanders Makes Painful Admission as Travis Hunter & Fiancée Reappear in Public After Long Hiatus

Travis Hunter has had a turbulent year. Sure, his Heisman-caliber season, with insane stats and leading Colorado to a bowl game, might make you think he’s been cruising. But there were some stormy chapters too! He got absolutely wrecked against Kansas State, a brutal injury that had his NFL draft stock and Heisman hopes tanking faster than a meme on TikTok. However, he bounced back harder and snatched that Heisman trophy right from Jeanty’s grasp in a nail-biting finish.

But when it comes to love, this 21-year-old pulled an old rug. No, he didn’t break up with his girlfriend—that’s not even on his radar. Instead, he vanished from social media. Coach Prime sees it all and breaks the silence after a while.

The Colorado superstar last suited up in a CU jersey during the Alamo Bowl and now should have shifted all his focus on the approaching NFL career. Unfortunately, overwhelming negativity on social media seemed to get the better of his mind, and that too without a fault of his own.

The internet has become an open platform to bully anyone and everyone nowadays. Especially if you’re a public figure, you are cooked. Hunter fell victim to exactly that shadow side of social media where people sneaked through his drawing room affairs over his fiancée Leanna Lenee. Hunter’s set to tie the knot with his high school sweetheart, Lenee, in May 2025. But leading up to their big day, Twitter’s been a total dumpster fire. People are calling Lenee a gold digger, dragging her character, and even making up wild stories about her.

In the wake of the severe controversy, the nonchalant, calm spirit Hunter chose to flee from the whole matter by deleting all of his social media handles. Lenee followed him right after. Coach Deion Sanders has seen it all but never unzipped his mouth until now. In a recent appearance on the Tamron Hall show, Coach Prime was asked to give one advice to his favorite two-way star, and without a pause, he responded, “Don’t stop.”

Sanders then dished out his usual savage—“It hurt me that he did really because what the enemy wants you to do is stop; I don’t; I don’t hunt and I don’t kill; I don’t do that, but, I’m a country boy that lives on a ranch, and I understand with the wild hogs that come and ravage my property and the deer that runs, and I don’t let nobody touch them, but when people want to harm them, they harm them because they get a clean shot and they steal. When you are moving, it’s hard to get a good shot at you if you keep on moving. I hate the stillness. Keep on moving; don’t let the enemy get you where you still.”

Travis Hunter considers Coach Sanders nothing short of a father figure and adapted his style, thinking, and attitude thoroughly on and off the field. So, it’s outright unfortunate how he succumbed to some lunatic fans out there.

However, the good thing is Hunter and his girl are back on social media and the public forum after a long pause.

Leanna continued to receive taunts; be it a lackluster Heisman ceremony gesture or an alleged Alamo Bowl absence, fans were getting under her skin like anything. The couple, however, silenced the noise after being spotted after the bowl game on the way home. But it was still not an intentional show-up.

Finally, on January 7, Travis Hunter Sr. posted a picture of his son and his would-be. And guess what? The picture suggested we have got our old Hunter back. The standout CU athlete posed for the camera in his usual smiling face that was long gone missing. He held Lenee by her waist quite adorably, raising the temperature high. Do you wonder if it’s an old picture?

Well, no, this was from another recent award ceremony where again Hunter was the man of the hour. Chery on top, the couple is back on social media. After getting repeated pokes from well-wishers and close friends, Hunter rejuvenated his virtual world. He shared a vlog on YouTube where he wholeheartedly thanked fans who supported him along the way and continued to be an idol for the younger generation.

It will be a treat to see the couple live a happy, content life going forward, moving past all the negativities.
