“Colorado isn’t important in college football… they’re irrelevant in the big picture.” Yeah, say that to the man who took a 1-11 team to a 9-win record and a Heisman trophy winner: 2024 was nothing but a year of redemption for Deion Sanders. He took all the hate and fueled the Colorado Buffs train to a Bowl game. Yeah, they lost the Alamo, but so what? In just 2 years, Deion Sanders made the University of Boulder $100 million richer, and no, you don’t have to just take our word for it. Check the stats. In-state and out-of-state applications skyrocketed after Buffs’ massive run—60k+ applications had poured in. Honestly? You need to thank AD Rick George for all of this. George had faith in Coach Prime, and it worked out.

So now what?

Well, a celebration, of course, and what better way to celebrate Deion’s success than rewarding him with a five-year contract extension, 5 years and a whopping $54 million? However, there is a slight catch. While all of this does sound dandy, Deion still has to pay some tax—no, not to the IRS, but to his “favorite child.” Standing tall with the favorite child moniker, Deion Sanders Jr. has an interesting request. Seeing all the riches his father has been bestowed with, Bucky quickly mentioned, “I know my dawg gone show me some love.. he wouldn’t just keep this all for himself.”

Hey, if I saw my father cracking a $900,000 paycheck every. month. I’d ask for a share, too. And well, Coach Prime had the perfect response to this demand: “I just prayed about a blessing too… I see God is using you to bless me.” Classic Prime.

We are sure that Bucky doesn’t really need a share. He is quite Well Off with his media house (Hah, get it? Well Off Media?). Still, this monumental achievement does demand a separate celebration with the family. At the end of the day, Deion Sanders is now one of the highest-paid coaches in the country.

Don’t believe us? We’ve got the numbers—plus, we also found another Sanders family member joining in to celebrate Coach Prime’s big upgrade… and maybe score a little tax break, too.

Deion Sanders: A $100 million man—Is he the savior Colorado football needed all along?

Have an interesting take?

Keep some aside for Deiondra, too

“Snow and I just maybe be in Colorado after all,” Deiondra Sanders pointed out on her IG story while sharing Bucky’s X post. Whoever out here thought Deion was going to move out to Dallas or something, well, sorry to say, Boulder has him for another 5 massive years.

Coming to the paycheck itself, Deion is making almost as much bank as some SEC powerhouse coaches. What if we told you that the difference between Kirby Smart’s $13.2 million payout and Deion’s payout is just $2.4 million? Yeah, that’s right. Deion is cashing in $10.5 million.

Easily makes him one of the Top 5 most paid coaches in the nation right now. Even Deiondra had shared this update previously on her story. The original post was from ESPN, and they had mentioned, “Sanders will be one of the highest paid coaches in the country earning $54 million over 5 years.”

Just think, in 2 years, Colorado went from 4-8 to 9-4. Now imagine what 5 years would do to this school. Having 2 massive QB prospects ready to rumble and a revamped receiver corps and O-line, Deion Sanders is ready to risk it all on the gridiron.
