The Denver Broncos QB had dropped a bold claim about the players who possess dual skills in college football. To him, these players “can’t be elite in the NFL” if they are excelling on both sides of the pigskin. This had been a direct attack on Buffs’ dual-threat Hunter. And one of his biggest supporters, Well Off Media tycoon Deion Jr. could wait no longer to shut him down. On the Zero 2 Sixty with Matt McChesney podcast, Jr. rained kudos on Hunter, “I heard Champ Bailey say it’s not likely you know that it’s not going to be able to happen but you know people only say that when they’ve never seen it done.”
Here, the Buffs alum too poured in. McChesney confessed that even though he had not played both sides on the field, playing during the practice was not at all a good feeling as he admitted, “I wanted to die.” Hopes surrounding Hunter soar high in case he keeps himself away from any injury.

Hunter had been the main attraction during the August 29 big bash between Colorado Buffaloes and North Dakota State Bison. His power-packed performance was enough to wipe out Tim Polasek’s squad. The Buffs’ dual-threat rushed through the gridiron with rage and scored 35 offensive snaps, 43 defensive snaps, and caught hold of 116 receiving yards. And guess what stood out amidst the epic showdown? Hunter gifted Buffs fans with a marvelous hat-trick of three touchdowns.

However, NFL star JJ Watt had not been interested in the two-way star’s numbers. Instead, what caught the Arizona Cardinals’s defensive end’s attention was his immaculate catching skills. Mesmerized by Hunter’s marvelous feat on August 29 night, Watt took to X and wrote, “That was a glitch on EA Sports” What a great way to describe that Travis Hunter catch. Incredible snag.”
It was not an easy start for Travis Hunter as he got harassed by North Dakota State corner Jailen Duffie, who had a flag thrown on the play.
