Deion Sanders Jr. has a gripe with EA Sports, and he’s not keeping quiet about it! The beloved video game is back online after an 11-year wait. Well, it’s been worth the wait as it’s much better than we remembered.
With its stunning graphics and a variety of playing modes, the EA Sports CFB 25 game is quite a hit. Plus, it also has over 10,000 players in it. But there’s one glaring omission—Buffs defensive star BJ Green II seems to be missing some action. And Coach Prime’s elder son isn’t happy about it.
On August 14th, Deion Sanders Jr. took to his X handle, posting, “Can y’all put BJ Green on the game? @EASPORTSCollege.” Well, Green is quite a standout defensive end. He just joined the Boulder team earlier this year and is already turning heads.

Though he’s gearing up for his first season with the Buffaloes, he’s already on the Chuck Bednarik and Outland Trophy watchlists. Just last week, Green showed his power to none other than the mighty Warren Sapp. During fall practice, Green faced off against the legendary Bucs defensive tackle, who took on the role of Green’s target. Now, Sapp was well-armed with a huge blocking pad. But in seconds, the veteran was knocked down and pinned to the ground by Green’s impressive power move, leaving everyone in awe.

Seeing Green’s dominance, it’s clear the video game sure needs an update! And this isn’t the only complaint Deion Sanders Jr. has with EA Sports. Since the game’s launch last month, he’s had plenty to say.

EA Sports released their highly anticipated video game on July 15, and while it brought joy to many, Deion Sanders Jr. wasn’t initially thrilled. The game also offered early access to some big names, but neither Coach Prime nor his son were on that list. Well, instead, NBA legend LeBron James got a copy. Noticing this, Deion Jr. commented, “LeBron is playing NCAA 25. They ain’t give you a copy, though!… I ain’t saying nothing, but I won’t let nobody treat me like that,” expressing his disappointment.

But despite the initial snub, the gamer in Deion Jr. couldn’t resist diving into the game, playing as Colorado Buffaloes. However, he wasn’t too happy with how EA Sports portrayed his dad’s team. On his X handle, he wrote, “Colorado gotta have the worst offensive & defensive playbooks on the game… Then they force you to play with them online.” To be fair, the 4-8 team got an overall rating of 85, with the offense also rated 85 and the defense 78. But the blocking and quarterback protection were seriously lacking. Even Buffs’ two-way star Travis Hunter sarcastically said, “the O-line is realistic. They just can’t block for nothing.”
Looks like EA Sports might need to rethink the Buffs’ playbook for the next edition!
