Is Deion Sanders' denial genuine, or is there more to the $100,000 per win story?

Deion Sanders always seems to find himself caught up in controversies. The Colorado Buffs recently had a fantastic win of 41-27 against Texas Tech. This victory not only boosted their chances in the playoffs but also put Deion Sanders in a difficult position because of his increased tenure amount. Despite Coach Prime’s denial, rumors continued to circulate, prompting his son, Deion Sanders Jr., to step in and end the drama.

After winning against Texas Tech, there was a report that stated that after winning seven consecutive games, Coach Prime has got $100,000 already, and from now on each win will give him $100,000 till the end of the regular season, he has already received a $400k bonus this year. Pretty impressive numbers, but following the whole money matter today, Deion Sanders Jr. shared the post by Coach Prime declining the gossip on X saying, Is this true? @RickGeorgeCU,” asking Buffs’ athletics director Rick George to answer the question.

This was in context with Deion Sanders’ recent post on X in which he denied the whole false narrative about the $400k bonus, saying, “All my kids, Deiondra Sanders, Deion Sanders Jr., Shilo Sanders, Shedeur Sanders, Shelomi Sanders, and Travis Hunter. Family and loved 1z. This isn’t true. God bless you.”

Not only this Deion Sanders and Buffs quarterback and his son Shedeur Sanders made a joke about getting $100k per win. During their conversation, Shedeur asked Coach Prime if he heard about the bonus money and said, “Where mine at?” Answering this, Sanders shut the news, saying, “I don’t know what y’all are talking about.” Well, there is no smoke without a fire. Irrespective, Deion Sanders is one of the highest-paid coaches in CFB, as he gets $5.7 million annually as the head coach of the Buffs.

But then fans will believe what they want to, and when Sanders’ name comes into any money matter, the news somehow always becomes the hot topic. For now, let’s talk about the next big things coming up for Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffs moving forward in the game apart from the all-bonus drama.

With just three games left to reach their target, the team has an impressive 7-2 streak overall and a 5-1 conference standing. This is so darn good; it’s intoxicating. Let’s keep it up, alright?” If the team successfully wins their next three games, they will surely have a spot in the Big-12 Championship game, and for that, Utah Utes is their primary aim.
