Colorado Buffaloes fans were very disappointed with Prime Time’s team yesterday. They lost by 18 points to Nebraska. Now, after the Cornhuskers’ dominance, Buffs star player Shedeur Sanders is facing some criticism. A rumor has surfaced on social media that Deion Sanders, Buffs head coach and father of quarterback, has reportedly asked the university band not to play the fight song after his son threw a touchdown. Instead, he asked the DJ to play Shedeur’s rap song.
Rumors were spreading very fast, so Deion Sander Jr. had to step in and defend his father. He reposted one of the tweets and captioned, “Bro, come on now…” dismissing the claims. According to him, the rumors were very stupid and involved strange stories about game day and personal likes, which was confusing the Sanders fanbase.
Nebraska dominated Buffalo in the last matchup. Dylan Raiola threw for 185 yards and a touchdown; their strong defense made the early impact and built the lead. It was a tough battle for the most popular team, Colorada, who has a huge fanbase. It was very difficult for fans to digest the fact that the Buffaloes lost by 18 points on Saturday night.

AP News reported defensive lineman Ty Robinson’s statement just after the matchup: “That’s how we wanted to come out. Dominance. We wanted them to feel us.” His statement highlights that Cornhuskers were ready and came with a strong mindset to win.
Buffaloes star player Shedeur Sanders struggles against Nebraska
The star performer of Buffs, Shedeur Sanders, wasn’t a star against Nebraska. The Huskers sacked the starting quarterback twice in the game. Cornhuskers made sure they kept Sanders under pressure for the entire game. After the game, ‘Prime Time’ said, “The way we started is just not indicative of who we are, and we just never got it together,” CU coach Deion Sanders added, “Sometimes you have those games.” Deion Sander, who always praises his team, recognized the team’s rough start in the second week’s crucial game, empathized that such performances are part of the game, and tried to boost the team’s morale. The Buffs badly struggled in the first half, failing to get a touchdown until their fifth possession. Such was the scarcity that they couldn’t even get on the score sheet in the first half.
All the players of Nebraska were impressive in the second week. Dante Dowdell is one of them, who ended the game with 74 rushing yards. It is said that fortune always favors the brave. It came true for the Huskers, as they benefitted from a lucky break when CU linebacker LaVonta Bentley mishandled an interception. Overall, it was the Cornhuskers Day, and their fans will remember this game forever. College football is very popular in the entire country, and fans are following the 2024 season very closely. Let’s see if the Buffaloes will bounce back or if Nebaraka will be one more step closer to the national championship.
