Some dreams do come true! And when it’s Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes dream coming true, you know it’s the result of millions of fans’ prayers. But what about the Buffs’ biggest fan’s dreams? Well, it looks like Deion and his program have taken care of it. We are talking about Colorado’s superfan, 100-year-old Miss Peggy Coppom. After all, she deserves some gift now that standing at 100, she never misses a chance to give her everything for the Buffs. On her 100th birthday Coach Prime had promised her about Colorado making it to the playoffs. Well, that didn’t come true. But so what? The Buffs HC made up for the failed promise and came up with something unforgettable. It’s Bowl time, folks!

19th November has always been special for the Buffs fam. But this year, the date was extra special as it was Miss Peggy’s centennial. Deion’s program celebrated her birthday with 54,646 fans at Folsom Field as Colorado face-off against Utah. But what about the promise made earlier this year? Deion personally promised her that they would get to bowl game in her honor. They even asked Miss Peggy which bowl she wanted to go to. The humble lady replied, “Well, I’ll take anything they give us.” FINALLY, the dream comes true. At least, Deion’s latest IG post hints at it.

The Buffs HC re-shared a post from Sports Center. In the video, an excited Coach Prime said, “That was the goal, to get Miss Peggy to a bowl and we are so happy. You have no idea how appreciative we are.” Well, if you think that’s enough of a surprise for their superfan. Hold on! Deion further revealed a celebrity treatment for their special fan who deserves nothing but the best. “We going to get our private plane because she don’t fly first class. So we going to make sure she gets to this game and she’s comfortable.” Yes, that’s how the Buffs are making up for the failed promise.

A few weeks back, Colorado’s playoff doors got closed when during the two different games, Iowa State and BYU Cougars emerged as winners, putting the last nail in Deion and Co.’s championship hopes. Finally, the good times are back again. And now that he can keep his promise made to Miss Peggy, the excitement got 10x to break the college football record.

Deion Sanders’ grand plan to make the last ride for the Sanders trio special

Well, the Alamo Bowl is going to be an emotional ride altogether. After all, it’s farewell time for Deion’s sons Shedeur and Shilo. The Buffs will be facing the BYU Cougars in the Alamodome in San Antonio on December 28. Before the big face-off, Coach Prime shared about how much value the upcoming game holds to him. “This is gonna be our last game. And you talk about monumental. You talking about something that we started from the youth league. And guess what? It started right here in Texas,” stated the emotional Buffs HC.

What’s your perspective on:

Did Deion Sanders' gesture for Miss Peggy Coppom touch your heart as much as it did ours?

Have an interesting take?

So now it calls for something mindblowing. Looks like Deion has already taken up the challenge to gift his kids the best memories that they would carry with them to the NFL. And what’s that? Coach Prime said on Sunday, December 8, he’s aiming to break attendance records at the Alamodome.

Going by the records, the largest crowd for the event came in 2007, when during Penn State vs Texas A&M, 66,166 people watched the game even though the stadium’s capacity is listed at 64,000. So that’s how Deion Sanders’ raised a warning for the Cougars HC Kalani Sitake, “I’m pretty sure we’re going to break that [record], because I know what Coach [Sitake] is going to bring to the table, and I know how deep our fans come, so we’re going to sell this game out, expeditiously. So get ready to put a little tickets in the cut.” But amidst this excitement, they better get the best seat for Miss Peggy Coppom!
