Did Matt Rhule's exposure of flaws actually set the stage for Deion Sanders' success?

Deion Sanders should THANK Matt Rhule. If the Huskers hadn’t broken down the entire team during the showdown, then there is a high possibility we would’ve never seen Deion Sanders and the Buffs on a 6-2 run. Matt Rhule once again exposed every fatal flaw in the offensive line and Deion Sanders responded with his new “11 personnel” lineup for the next 3 big games against the Rams, Baylor, and UCF. And what did that give Coach Prime? A proper O-line helped Shedeur Sanders push out the maximum pressure from the pockets. However, there was one problem. This entire momentum was LOST when the Buffs went up against Kansas State.

The WR depth was in shambles with Travis Hunter and Jimmy Horn Jr. out with injuries, and the offensive line was back to being a weak wafer biscuit. But that twist ain’t gonna deter Deion Sanders’ expectations from Shedeur and Co. Back on another episode of Well Off Media, Deion Sanders makes it clear that he wants his boys in the playoffs. “What I’m seeing right now is a playoff team….. Great job thus far, let’s see if we can top that,” Coach Prime mentioned. This is the best start Colorado has had since 2018 and Deion Sanders is going to make it count.

See, yes, the Kansas State showdown exposed the flaws again, but we saw Shedeur perform at his peak level. Even without Hunter or Horn, Shedeur kept the team in the game, and the Buffs managed to go 28-31 in a game where they had a significant disadvantage. That counts.

The team even managed to bounce back perfectly against Arizona next with a massive 34-7 win. And the Bearcats game was the cherry on the cake. Hunter was back in form and Shedeur was rocking it from the pocket. They managed to slam dunk on Cincinnati, and the Buffs cracked the AP Week 9 polls.

All they need now is 4 more wins to make this the greatest season Colorado football has ever seen. The D-line is perfect because of Robert Livingstone and the O-line is doing an average job of keeping Shedeur safe. So, can Deion Sanders nail it?

Making history, one game at a time

First hurdle is Texas Tech. Joey McGuire and Co. are on a 6-3 run and this game could mark their eligibility for the playoffs as well. So, Coach Prime has to tread this lightly. See, the Red Raiders have already made their name after defeating the undefeated Iowa State and the Buffs game will mark their 2nd Top-25 team game.

The main thing to look out for is curbing the Raiders run game. Under McGuire, the Raiders have improved by a huge margin. The entire Buffs D-line has to focus on creating turnovers and also plan on stopping Tahj Brooks. This guy is Texas Tech’s leading rusher and is currently standing in the 5th spot in the FBS in terms of rushing yards per game.

If Coach Prime and Co. manage to create enough turnovers and run the iconic Colorado run game, then this should be an easy win. However, we have also seen the Buffs choke games a lot of times before, so we can only wait and see what unfolds on November 10th.
