The Sanders fam is now on full alert mode! After all, now they have a new member, baby Snow. Being the first grandchild in the family, you can expect the care that the little one gets. Maybe baby Snow is a bit luckier, as along with his mom Deiondra, his grandma Carolyne Chambers is all in on helping take care of him. Sadly, the two mommies got into a disagreement over their different parenting moves. That’s when Deiondra tried to settle the argument. After all, what better validation than her social media fam? 

Till a few months back, Deion Sanders’ daughter was all about herself. She enjoyed her lavish getaways, partying with her friends, and splurging in branded outfits. But ever since she got to know that she was expecting a baby with her fiancé Jacquees, Deiondra changed herself completely.

She is now a full-time, dedicated mom. Her pregnancy unleashed the fearless side of Deion’s daughter. After all, she took the bold step to continue with her pregnancy very well knowing that it would be a difficult one. But now that baby Snow has arrived, she can’t afford to make any mistakes. That’s when she found herself in an argument with her mom, Carolyne. The reason? What to feed the baby.

On January 4, Deiondra posted on IG, “Parents! What age did you start giving your baby cereal? My mom keep buggin me asking to give him some. Snow sleeps fine without it already. What age did you give your baby cereal and why?” Well, Deiondra’s concern is valid. As per recent studies, a lot of heavy metals and toxins have been found in cereals. Maybe that’s why most parents have struck off cereal from the diet chart for their babies. Deiondra had kept her DM open for suggestions, and finally, she got the clarity.

A few hours later, the concerned mom posted on IG tagging her mother, saying she couldn’t take her advice. Deiondra wrote, “Welp after taking everyone answers and my own research into consideration. Sorry mommy @carolyncsandersrealtor SNOW will not be on cereal right now. 😭 Now after 5 months I am willing to start making Snow his own puree to give him ALONG with his soy and breastmilk 😌.”

She ended the story with a thank you note: “Thanks everyone for your input and answers 😭😂.” Well, both Carolyne and Deiondra are moms, but things were a lot different back when Deion’s ex-wife was raising her kids. However, over the years, food science has evolved. Some common beliefs have been tossed away for the good. Meanwhile, this is not the first time that the mother-daughter duo was caught in a tug-of-opinion. 

The push and pull of Deiondra’s maternal instincts   

To find the reason for the disagreement, we will have to go back to the initial days of Deiondra’s pregnancy. From the very beginning, everybody knew that Deion’s daughter was going to have a difficult pregnancy. Deiondra has been carrying fibroids and even underwent myomectomy surgeries. But from the very start, she has been brave in her journey and continued to encourage the “high-risk” moms. Now, mothers being mothers, their biggest concern is their child’s wellbeing.

Maybe that’s because Carolyne got too upset with her daughter taking so much risk. As once in an interview, Deiondra shared, “I told my mom the stuff I want..I don’t know if she is with it…I am on my research of the birth plan..but I think this is what my mom won’t be expecting, might be a little upset.” But the new mommy chose to make that sacrifice.

Later in that interview, Deion’s daughter said, “But  I think it’s my baby now and I want to take my decision.” Meanwhile, it’s not just Deiondra who is making the sacrifice. Her fiancé Jacquees too goes that extra mile to be a good father.

Recently, the R&B King was spotted at the club partying on New Year’s Eve. But he has been all sober. Last year, in November, he opened up about his alcohol addiction. Finally, he has been able to win the battle. As Jacquees claimed, “On my break, I was really having to get myself together personally. You know I’ve been sober for nine months, no liquor, you feel me?” That’s how careful and dedicated parents Deiondra and Jacquees are.
