The Alamo Bowl on Saturday will be an emotional occasion for a few reasons. The Buffs will be in their first bowl game since 2020, hoping for a first bowl win since the Gary Barnett era in 2004. Saturday will be the last installment of the fascinating Sanders family drama that has gripped college football ever since Deion Sanders stepped in Boulder. Coach Prime has already said it would be hard for him to control his emotions, bidding goodbye to his sons Shedeur and Shilo as well as Travis Hunter, as the anticipation for the clash against BYU builds.

On Saturday, the Buffs will be a part of one of the most hyped bowl games in recent years and the focus will be firmly on the Sanders family. They have dominated the headlines in Colorado, especially this season where Coach Prime has led the program to a 9-3 record and Shedeur has seen his stock rise. There is going to be plenty of support on offer for them in San Antonio and Deion’s ex-wife will be one of those cheering them on.

Carolyne Chambers married Deion in 1989 and had two children with him, Deiondra and Deion Sanders Jr. before their divorce in 1998. Ahead of the bowl game, she landed in San Antonio and shared her support for the Buffs.

Taking to her IG story she showed off a Colorado Buffaloes headband and wrote, “Go Buffs! We’re here!” She then reshared an IG story from Meloni Jackson with a caption that says, “We Believe.” Carolyne has continued to show love for the Sanders family and the Buffs as seen earlier this season.

Before the start of the season, Carolyne shared an IG video compilation with the caption, “WE NOT NEW TO THIS!! We True to This!” which included memories with the Sanders family and with her wearing a T-shirt carrying the words “PRIME” in front. Also, when Deiondra Sanders gave birth to baby Que, she documented the family’s first meeting with the grandson on her YouTube channel. In the same video, Carolyne expressed excitement about watching little Snow grow up, hoping he might follow in his uncle’s footsteps and become a big name in the football world.

Meanwhile, Coach Prime also cheekily referred to Carolyne and Pilar Sanders, his second wife, while talking about fulfilling his promise to Colorado superfan Ms. Peggy. “We didn’t give you a number of wins, we set up with one goal, and that was to get Miss Peggy to a bowl game. We did that, didn’t we Miss Peggy? That was my most beautiful date I have ever had, and she’s not going to divorce me like the other two did,” Sanders said while addressing the fans before the bowl game.

In her IG stories, Carolyne also featured some love for her son Deion Sanders Jr.

She shared a clip which had a painting of her son, who can also be seen in the video. The story was captioned, “My handsome and successful son.” Both Chambers and Sanders, despite their separation have shared their love for their kids over the years.

Well, even though Coach Prime and Carolyne have been on separate paths since 1998, one thing that keeps them linked is their kids. They’ve always had each other’s backs; whether it’s supporting Deion Jr. with his multi-million dollar Well Off Media merchandise or being there for Deiondra during her complicated pregnancy, both of them have never missed a chance to support their kids. Moreover, their love for the kids has only kept them on good terms, and the outcome is pretty obvious with Carolyne always out there rooting for the Buffs. Family always comes first.

But it’s always been their kids who brought them together. A few weeks back, when Deion Sanders posted a clip on Instagram where he was saying a prayer for Deiondra Sanders and her family’s well-being, he posted it on Instagram. That clip really took over the internet, depicting the kind of love Prime Time has for her baby girl. However, what made people turn their heads was Carolyne Chambers reposting the same video on her social media.

Now that the Buffs are heading towards a very crucial moment of the game, she is out there supporting her stepsons with all her heart.
